Asemanabad District (Persian: بخش آسمان آباد) is in Chardavol County, Ilam province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Asemanabad,[2] whose population at the 2016 National Census was 6,280 people in 1,660 households.[3]

After the census, Asemanabad Rural District and Asemanabad were separated from the Central District in the establishment of Asemanabad District, which was divided into two rural districts and the city.[2]
