Climbing career
In 2018, 14 years old, she won the Japanese Lead Climbing Championship and placed second at the Bouldering Japan Cup in Tokyo.[6][7]
Mori made her debut at the international senior level in 2019. She managed to win two bronze medals in lead and bouldering World Cups.[8][9][10][11] Later that year, in the World Championships, she placed third in the lead category.[5] Being 15 years old at the time, this made her the youngest Japanese climber to stand on a world championship podium. Akiyo Noguchi previously held that record with her 2005 bronze medal in lead climbing, which she won while being 16 years old.[12][3]
In 2021, she won Gold in Bouldering Japan Cup by topping all four problems in the finals defeating the likes of Miho Nonaka and Futaba Ito.[13][14] She also won the Lead Japan Cup.[15]
