The 1938 Detroit Tech Dynamics football team represented the Detroit Institute of Technology as an independent during the 1938 college football season . In their third year under head coach Hal Shields,[ 1] the Dynamics compiled a 6–3 record and outscored opponents by a total of 321 to 64.[ 2] The team's schedule was considered the toughest in the school's history.[ 3]
