works of Julius Evola mass PRODded by SPA

I noticed an SPA IP mass prodded the works of Julius Evola, a pretty well known writer in the world of esoterism/esoteric subjects. For those I checked out so far (those which hadn't yet been deleted), I've seen at least enough sources to contest a prod and in some cases more than enough to show notability. Looking at the names the IP removed from Template:Julius_Evola, I saw that I hadn't noticed them quickly enough. Requesting undeletion. Hopefully it's ok that I combine multiple into one section (with the same rationale). -— Rhododendrites talk \\ 21:07, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

see above -— Rhododendrites talk \\ 21:07, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

@Rhododendrites: no problem combining them, in fact I have combined them further to save space. As these are contested PRODs, I will restore them if you really want, but first please check out WP:Notability (books) and consider whether you can actually make anything out of an unreferenced sub-stub like:

"Synthesis of the Doctrine of Race is a work by Italian esoteric writer Julius Evola and was published in 1941 by Hoepli."

That's the complete "article", and others I have looked at are not much better. I can't see them surviving AfD. Would it not be better to list them, with some commentary, in the author's article? JohnCD (talk) 21:26, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
@JohnCD: Thanks. That one is pretty awful, to be sure. Others aren't great. But they were prodded based on notability, and being familiar with NBOOKS I saw that at least a couple of them are. That, combined with the fact that the editor's only edits were to prod books by this author with the same "non notable pamphleth" rationale, makes me think there wasn't enough thought behind the judgment. I wanted to have them restored so I could check them and then, if there's not enough substance or if it's not notable, I'll redirect them. — Rhododendrites talk \\ 21:46, 1 March 2015 (UTC)
OK, but it will be tomorrow before I get to them. JohnCD (talk) 21:52, 1 March 2015 (UTC)

reasoning -Jamie:Herrel (talk) 01:05, 3 March 2015 (UTC)

The file that I uploaded has been nominated to deletion due to my statement in my own account, I didn't mean to have restrictions, I clearly stated that Everyone is able to use image or files that I upload , just because of the little mistakes of mine, the file has been nominated for deletion. I've already changed the description of my account, stating:

This Wikimedia account of Jamie Herrell is handled by herself and to her Manager from the Miss Earth Organization. Every photos that are uploaded using this account may be use from any of this article: Miss Earth, Miss Philippines Earth, Jamie Herrell etc... The photos are free-licensed, which means, everyone is free to use these images for any purpose.. Thank you.

There are no restrictions already, please, remove the deletion and cancel it, this file is free use and is worthy to be saved with. As I say, this image is free-licensed which means, Everyone is free to use it. Thank you

Not done this appears to be in response to this request, which is on Commons, not on English Wikipedia. I will handle it there. Magog the Ogre (tc) 01:17, 3 March 2015 (UTC)

International Alchemy Guild

I am the President of the International Alchemy Guild. I am not plagiarizing my own page -Mxgnrtnx02 (talk) 02:12, 3 March 2015 (UTC)

  •   Not done Mxgnrtnx02, even if you are the President, Wikipedia still cannot accept copyrighted text unless you file a ticket through WP:ORTS that gives Wikipedia permission to use the text. The reason for this is that in the past Wikipedia has had people claim to be the copyright holders of copyrighted materials, only for it to happen that they weren't. However, even if you do this you will still have to re-write the page because the text was ultimately too promotional to remain on Wikipedia and if re-added, the article would very likely be deleted through WP:G13, unambiguous promotion. That's the catch with using copyrighted text- most of the time it was written with a specific bias that wouldn't be an issue on the original site, but it would not be acceptable in an encyclopedia. As a point, try to avoid WP:PEACOCK words and buzzwords like "remarkable" and try to write in a more WP:NPOV. The text on the club's website was just too casual to really be appropriate on Wikipedia. Now that said, there are two other things I need to mention. The first is that Wikipedia discourages writing with a conflict of interest because it's so easy to insert promotional/non-NPOV material without noticing it unless you're very careful and also because it's very easy to see more notability than there might otherwise be. This leads me to my second point: I did a search for this guild and I can't really see where it's received enough coverage to pass notability guidelines for an organization. Other than some passing mentions in the contact section of a few books (being listed in this fashion is considered to be a WP:TRIVIAL mention at best), I don't really see where the IAG has received any coverage and even if the copyvio and promotional terms weren't an issue, this probably would not pass the speedy deletion criteria for WP:A7 (notability for organizations) or the articles for deletion process. This was moved (without redirect?) to Wikipedia:Main Page/CSS, which still exists. When it was still at Main Page/CSS, some of its content was copied to the Main Page with a link to Main Page/CSS for attribution. • JohnCD, it looks like they were trying to get Jennifer Abbott (director) restored. However as it was deleted at AfD, it cannot be restored here. As far as the allegations of personal attacks go, they're entirely unfounded (considering who the nominator was and some of the people participating in the AfD, one of whom was myself) and looking back, I have to concur on the nominator's suspicion that there was some sockpuppetry (or at least meatpuppetry) going on with the article. One source does not an article make. You need multiple reliable sources (such as newspapers, magazines in the subject's industry/topic area, or books) with no connection to the subject and editorial oversight that discusses the website in depth. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 18:22, 3 March 2015 (UTC)

Question for "Administrator" Here: I found the deleted "Desperate Preacher's Site" on one of the "mirror" sites that copies Wikipedia's pages, so I have the information and links that Wikipedia deleted. Perhaps the "parameters" need increasing, instead of being just about the "Desperate Preacher Website"???? If a Wikipedia page were called something such as "Sermon Plagiarism," then perhaps all of the information from the deleted "Desperate Preacher's Site" Wikipedia page as well as the external links provided there could help make a new Wikipedia page with an expanded focus?? Expanding the subject would make the deleted "Desperate Preacher's Site" info just another source that would go along with the external links previously provided - as well as whatever other information/links that could be added as well. Any thoughts/comments/advice?? Thanks.

@LectionaryLite:   Done. As this page was deleted by WP:Proposed deletion, it is automatically restored on request. I will notify user Vrac (talk), who proposed it, and who may choose to nominate it at WP:Articles for deletion, which would start a debate lasting seven days, to which you would be welcome to contribute. If that happens, you could propose any change of scope you have in mind and see whether there is WP:Consensus for it. JohnCD (talk) 20:57, 3 March 2015 (UTC)

  •   Not done - this page was deleted in accordance with criterion for speedy deletion A7. If you believe that this decision was made in error, or that significant new information has come to light since the deletion, please contact the administrator who carried out the deletion, user Versageek (talk · contribs). If you have already done so, your concerns can be taken to deletion review. That's the jargon, now the explanation in plainer English. The fatal problem to having an article about you is the lack of multiple and substantial sources to show that you are "notable" in Wikipedia terms - the sources have to be reliable and have to be independent of you, and mentioning you in passing isn't enough. Writing about yourself is a bad idea too, so please don't do it again. See also WP:AUTOBIOGRAPHY. BencherliteTalk 19:57, 3 March 2015 (UTC)
I will add, @Hoshcof:, that you might also want to read about deliberately disrupting Wikipedia to make a point, which will get you blocked if you persist in your threat to keep recreating the article. Doing that will also cause the article to be permanently protected from being re-created. Do the right thing and work with the community, not against it. Because you have a WP:Conflict of interest about yourself, your best venue for submitting an article is Wikipedia:Articles for creation, but that is no guarantee that your article will be accepted if it doesn't comply with the basic requirements described in Wikipedia:Golden rule. ~Amatulić (talk) 20:58, 3 March 2015 (UTC)

Requesting Userfication of the article history. Some years ago, I edited this article, and I remember it being in somewhat respectable shape, but did not add it to my watchlist. Yes I do remember that this page was previous deleted but is it necessary that if a page was deleted in the past so again the same rule of previous deletion is enough to decide the fate of the new page. Kindly compare the previous deleted page and now this one. There are hundreds of changes between them. I wish to raise few questions here ... 1. How many references were provided last time? 2. How much times is lapsed after the first deletion? 3. Do you feel that only the matching Titles of the previous and present pages are sufficient enough to delete this page? 4. Do you feel that the references provided here from Daily Global Times China, Daily Outlook Afghanistan, The Frontier Post, Daily Dawn, Express News TV Network, Express Tribune etc are fake? 5. What were the points of previous deletion discussion? 6. Are those points valid now to be applied on this new page? My more than 250 articles are published so far in the above mentioned newspapers. It can be confirmed from my webpage farmannawaz.wordpress.com and even the newspapers can be contacted to verify. Because of these articles Cardiff University UK has offered me an unconditional offer to admission to MA International Journalism. I am an emerging columnist and wants to contribute in the field if journalism. just type my email farmannawaz@gmail.com in any search engine and see the results. But here the the world most authentic encyclopedia has put the sword of deletion on my page. Is it justified to treat an emerging columnist in this way? sorry to say but I was not expecting this from the people who claim to belong to a free world. here I would like to give the example of Pakistani actor Hamza Ali Abbasi's account removal and then the apology of Mark Zuckerberg. Kindly see this link http://www.dawn.com/news/1156536 . I think the same name Charlie Hebdo is used in my page and twisting the arm of the Wikipedia to put the sword of SPEEDY DELETION on my page. If a clear consensus cannot be immediately reached the discussion will be moved top the articles' talk page. Inter&anthro (talk) 20:44, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
It's a crude measure, but Google returns 150k hits for AT and only 30k for AIT. JohnCD (talk) 20:49, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
Yeah I think your logic is correct, although it might be for the best to have another editor's opinion. Inter&anthro (talk) 21:24, 6 March 2015 (UTC)
Thank for the notice Inter&anthro. As mentioned by JohnCD, he is popularly known as Alfin Tuasalamony and rarely mentioned with his middle name included. This can be seen on his Wikipedia ID page and in almost all football statistic websites (soccerway, transfermarkt, etc). Hopefully that helps. MbahGondrong (talk) 21:28, 6 March 2015 (UTC)

@LovegoodMusicians:   Not done. This page was a copyright violation from http://leppiensisters.com/about/. Wikipedia cannot hold copyright text, even in draft pages, without a formal copyright release. Assertion of permission is not enough. It is seldom worth making a copyright release, because just copying a website does not make an acceptable article: groups' own web-pages are written in a promotional style unsuitable for an encyclopedia, and references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" are required to establish Wikipedia:Notability, see also WP:MUSICBIO. InfoQuest

Due to miscommunications and change of particular websites it resulted in Deletion of pages, we will rectify those errors and update it -115.241.28.11 (talk) 17:08, 7 March 2015 (UTC)

Not done - this Requests for Undeletion process is only for articles that were deleted uncontroversially, and does not apply to articles deleted after a deletion discussion. Since the article you are here about was deleted after a discussion took place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/InfoQuest, it cannot be undeleted through this process. However, if you believe that the outcome of the discussion did not reflect the consensus of the participants, or that significant new information has come to light since the article was deleted, you may contact the administrator who closed the discussion, user Ymblanter (talk · contribs). After you do so, if your concerns are not addressed and you still seek undeletion, a request may be made at deletion review.- McMatter (talk)/(contrib) 17:14, 7 March 2015 (UTC)

K. @Chinmayisk:  Y restored to draft. The page is now at Draft:K. Krithi Karanth where you can work on it. Wikipedia's inclusion test is called WP:Notability and is not a matter of saying so but of showing references to "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." @Chinmayisk: I don't think we're supposed to have this discussion here, but what the hell. I would not delete it per A7 in its current state. That said, don't you think you should clean it up before moving it to main space? It's got formatting errors and unsourced material. If perchance this was typed in by you but refused, then it was stopped by a filter log. If that occurred, you would have to tell us what IP or username you were using when it happened for us to tell you the reason as it was not under your currently assigned IP address. If it was under your current IP address then, as above, the page never existed, so it was never successfully saved by you. In any case, you would need to tell us the specifics of exactly what occurred, what you did, where, under what name, and what happened.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 15:52, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

Schwartz Center Rounds

I am writing the article on behalf of the organization who organizes Schwartz Rounds in the UK. Please let me know what I need to do to move this submission forwards. Thanks -Goldstar23 (talk) 21:11, 8 March 2015 (UTC)

  •   Not done This was deleted by User:Bbb23 as WP:A7 and WP:G11, "unambiguous advertising or promotion" and an "article about a real person, which does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject". Because of that, this cannot be restored here. You need to ask Bbb23 if he will restore it and if not, you need to go through deletion review. However at the same time I do have to recommend that you not create an article about yourself since autobiographies are strongly discouraged. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 09:56, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

Please don't delete this because all this IS RELIABLE because it it an article about Savageookwolf. I mean, who knows more about Savageookwolf than Savageookwolf? And all this information is reliable because I am savageookwolf's friend and it's all true. It's an autobiography and doesn't need references. I feel as this deletion is a personal attack on him because I'm new on Wiki and my biography isn't deleted even though it's like his. Don't delete his biograghy! Don't delete it or delete mine too! -SkylarDoesMinecraft (talk) 17:48, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

Wrong. Not only do we require references for biographical articles, but we very heavily discourage writing about oneself on Wikipedia as people have a tendency to aggrandise themselves. Also, other articles' presence or absence does not justify your own. Lastly, user pages are not substitutes for articles. —Jeremy v^_^v Bori! 20:01, 9 March 2015 (UTC)

Not done. @MikiClarke: Hi Miki. DGG gave you some excellent advice, which included that you can "try again". This did not mean the prior article could or should be undeleted (and in fact it cannot be undeleted because it was a copyright violation), but that you actually try again from scratch. There is no impediment to your clicking on the red link above and to start writing. Please be careful of the advice. Don't copy and paste content again (understand that this also includes taking other people's writing and modifying it only on the surface; what we call close paraphrasing); take a look at Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources and Help:Referencing for beginners, and note our requirement that the article be written from a neutral point of view, which is usually extremely difficult for people like you with a conflict of interest. Also, please don't ignore his advice advice about complying with the Terms of Use by providing mandatory disclosure of your paid editing. You should have already done so, before taking any steps regarding the prospective article. See more at Terms of use/FAQ on paid contributions without disclosure, which was also linked for you by DGG.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 01:04, 10 March 2015 (UTC)
