List of Ah! My Goddess episodes (season 1)

You opposed the last FLC for List of Ah! My Goddess episodes (season 1). I have relisted it for FLC and just wanted to inform you. If you could take a look and comment on if the problems brought up in the previous FLC were addressed, that would be great. Thanks. NOCTURNENOIR ( t • c ) 21:33, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, for letting me know. For future reference I watchlist FLCs I've reviewed so you don't need to let me know each time—unless its been more than a couple of days, in which case give me a shout. Rambo's Revenge (talk) 16:03, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Re: Premiere (The O.C.)

Yay, a pilot episode that isn't expressly called "Pilot". Since apparently I have a reputation to maintain I'll see what I can do today or this weekend. Cheers, --Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 16:18, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

I'll take a look at the episode when I can. As for those who worked on it, you probably should ping them unless they declare that they were contributors (to avoid canvassing for supports.) --Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 16:08, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
What I mean is that you aren't supposed to gather up people who have worked on an article, because they'll most likely have a vested interest in seeing it pass. There's nothing wrong with perhaps soliciting FAC comments from the PR reviewers, though. --Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs (talk) 16:20, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Rumford

Could you take a look at the Rumford Medal FLC? I've addressed all your concerns minus the rationales (for reasons given there). Ironholds (talk) 00:10, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

As explained there, I made a "small" error when copying and pasting tables. It has been fixed now. -- Scorpion0422 19:52, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Thats fine, I guessed it was an accident from table experimentation. Anyway I found it quite amusing! Rambo's Revenge (talk) 19:54, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Nice catch on that, I can't believe that I didn't notice that for 9 days. If all of your concerns are addressed, would you mind striking your oppose so the FLC can be closed today? Thanks, Scorpion0422 19:59, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Yes I am giving it a quick review now. Rambo's Revenge (talk) 20:01, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
Done, only 1 tiny possible issue. Good work. Rambo's Revenge (talk) 20:10, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Sure, I'll take a look, but I've got to warn you that I'm not the world's greatest copyeditor. Try asking Matthewedwards to take a look, he does a lot of work on television articles too. -- Scorpion0422 23:55, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

I would but he's already contributed to the peer reviews (1st and 2nd) so he is familiar with the article. I was advised that a fresh set of eyes would be better. If you have any other suggestions please let me know. Rambo's Revenge (talk) 00:05, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

I gave it a read-through and it looks pretty good. However, there are some parts in the production section that could use some more detail. For example:

  • "Kelly Rowan auditioned five times" - Why did she have to audition five times? Why did they keep letting her come back?
  • "Rush found the role of Ryan Atwood particularly hard to cast" - Why?

As well, this part is confusing: "Melinda Clarke acted as guest star Julie Cooper, originally reading for the role of Kirsten as there were not enough scripted lines for Julie at the time." Why not just say "Melinda Clarke guest starred as Julie Cooper ...." Also, maybe you could add a brief history of the development of the show. Nothing in-depth, just a small paragraph about the concept and such.

All in all, it's a pretty good article. I hope that helps. -- Scorpion0422 00:30, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

A couple other good ones: User:The JPS and User:Redfarmer. These are both editors whom I have encountered at FAC/FLC and have been impressed with their work on television articles. Dabomb87 (talk) 00:49, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
    • Grouped replies:
      • For the mutiple Rowan auditions, it doesn't say and I haven't managed to find out. I found another source to back up the 5 auditions, but that doesn't say either. Should I remove this if I can't explain why?
        • Hmm, no I think it's okay. A little more detail would be nice, but leave it in.
      • I have done the Ryan bit, and reworded the bit about Clarke.
      • Can we discuss the conception as it seems not to be particularly relevent to the episode. It seems more suitable to the main The O.C. article (on my todo list). I know you only requested something short, but in what section would you put it? Rambo's Revenge (talk) 14:34, 11 February 2009 (UTC)
        • I just thought a few sentences would be useful to explain the backstory of how the series it self came to be. I thought a lot of pilot episode articles did this, but it turns out that most don't. So, you can disregard my comment if you like. -- Scorpion0422 18:52, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

There is no official limit, you can nominate as many as you like at a time. That being said, you should try to avoid flooding the process with too many at once. -- Scorpion0422 17:12, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

List of Popotan episodes FLC

I updated the references for the list and gave a reason to why the new reference should suffice for the entire series.じんない 00:58, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

The FLC has been archived. Dabomb87 (talk) 01:22, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Yea, I saw that. I'd like to know what items remain contested then per that last source I added which should have been enough to verify Rambo's Revenge's last concern.じんない 22:16, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Citing one date will not suffice. Speculating that they aired weekly around those dates is just that, speculation. All the air dates need citing. I know you mentioned that the source said the episodes aired on Thursday, but there might have been one that aired out of the weekly sequence, or even one week that missed an episode, but showed two the following week. Especially since ANN contradicts your assumption of weekly airings. Rambo's Revenge (talk) 14:51, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
That is also speculation. The source likely would mention that somewhere or someplace else would have mentioned that. I found no evidence of such wild flights of speculation. Considering how valued of a resource this is for academic research I cannot fathom that they would not make such a report. Changes in air time are recorded in the news somewhere and I cannot find anything therefore to assume that the source is telling false information is not a burden I should have to prove since it is considered a reliable source.
Again, that goes back to trying to prove a negative. How do you prove a negative? You've never answered me on that.
As to ANN, you yourself along with the main anime webpage have said that non-news section on ANN should be considered at most a qualified source needing backup. Since I have a source that has far more repute than ANN, that source should be considered the standard, not ANN.じんない 17:58, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Sources mentioning rescheduling would be just as common as those mentioning scheduling (i.e. the airdates). I never said ANN was correct, I'm just saying it is one example of a possible deviation in air dates, and something that needs to be confirmed or proved otherwise with reliable sources. Rambo's Revenge (talk) 23:56, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
The source I am using is reliable, short of the website or the network itself, neither of which can be used. The cite is used as a base source for academic research by at least one prestigious university and I've also seen it and the author cited a few other such academic sites/journals. I have done an exhaustive search to see whether or not there was any deviation in the air time and found absolutely nothing. Since it's common practice not to announce non-changes in sceduling, the lack of such sources anywhere, even fansites and blogs, should indicate that the air dates were not changed.じんない 01:08, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
I never questioned the reliability of your source. However I don't think you looked hard enough. I realise you worked hard on this so I set aside 10 minutes to try and find reliable cites for the episodes. Trawling through the web archives I managed to find reliable airdates from the official site for the first 4 episodes. I am sure with more looking in the archives the rest could be found. Rambo's Revenge (talk) 09:17, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Beyond the episode titles, what still remains an issue? I removed the reference to the lack of promotional items in the text.じんない 09:29, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
The air dates. See my post above. You should be able to cite all these from archives of the official site. Rambo's Revenge (talk) 09:33, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
Alright I found one with all 12 airdates and I have added it as a general reference. I have cited the Japanese titles using the Getchu pages. Anything else then or do you think I could resubmit it now without any major issues?じんない 01:32, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

On an unrelated issue, is the review for this site reliable?じんない 02:16, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Yes. And with respect to citing the air dates - well done. I realise it was difficult but featured content isn't easy and it's the high standards that make it the best work of Wikipedia. The only thing is can you give ref 28 the title as given on the site, not just one that describes what is on the site. Otherwise I think it is ready to resubmit. Best wishes, Rambo's Revenge (talk) 16:05, 27 February 2009 (UTC)
