Wikipedia Stories Project

Hi!

My name is Victor and I'm a storyteller with the Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit organization that supports Wikipedia. I'm chronicling the inspiring stories of the Wikipedia community around the world, including those from readers, editors, and donors. Stories are absolutely essential for any non-profit to persuade people to support the cause, and we know the vast network of people who make and use Wikipedia have so much to share.

I'd very much like the opportunity to interview you to tell your story, with the possibility of using it in our materials, on our community websites, or as part of this year’s fundraiser to encourage others to support Wikipedia. Please let me know if you're inclined to take part in the Wikipedia Stories Project.

Thank you for your time,

Victor Grigas

Brookline College Page

I submitted a page but it was rejected because of bad references. I used the company's own website and US Department of Education approved catalog for the info. I've done this in the past without issue.

Can you tell me what other reference would have been better?

Thanks

Thanks for the kind words and support. I am glad the block was quickly reversed. I don't need the admin to apologize, but I am a bit disturbed by his arrogance -- a dozen or more editors/admins telling him he was mistaken, and his response is "no, you are all mistaken, and I'm done discussing this." Very discouraging. Still, I'm glad the matter was succesfully resolved (and, I did learn a bit more of the vandalism vs. BLP nuances for future reference.)JoelWhy (talk) 12:27, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

Placing my image on an existing page.

[Humor this old man of 75 please.......

So I visit the wiki page, this one, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kawanishi_N1K and I want to include my photo of the plane I uploaded yesterday. There are four images appearing along the right border under the traditional main photo and statistics. The last of the four images carries the comment "The 343 Kokutai's Sjiden-Kai on display in the museum on the island of Shikoku." Immediately below that thumbnail photo I'd like to place/insert my photo. I will include an inscription that tells the configuration N1K2-J and its present location in the National Museum of Naval Aviation, Pensacola, Florida.

How do I go about placing my image in the precise spot in the article. I see lots of edit points throughout bot none under the four existing images. It is not writing skills I lack here, nor is it html lauguage skills. I'm willing to learn new tricks as an old dog but I need some training. To simply say place the statement in the article where you would like your photo to appear doesn't give me clear directions.

Yes, to answer your question that is my image that you identified in your initial reply.

I'm sitting up, I'm alert, talk to me please. Smile

Dikjenkins1 (talk) 18:51, 16 May 2012 (UTC)

It's a done deal, thanks so much. Now if a guy wanted to move both of these images up, but within the 343 Kokutai section so they don't get into the Variants section just below, where would he relocate both lines of code to do that and allow the text to wrap?

Well...OohBunnies I couldn't stand the suspense and took a shot at it. Does the page look okay to you now? Should I have taken that liberty?

Articles for Creation Appeal

Articles for Creation is backlogged and needs YOUR help!

Articles for Creation is desperately in need of reviewers! We are looking for urgent help, from experienced editors and administrators alike, to help us clear a record backlog of pending submissions. There is currently a significant backlog of 2573 submissions waiting to be reviewed. These submissions are generally from new editors who have never edited Wikipedia before. A prompt, constructive review of submissions could significantly editor retention.

Do you have what it takes?
  1. Are you familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines?
  2. Do you know what Wikipedia is and is not?
  3. Do you have a working knowledge of the Manual of Style, particularly article naming conventions?
  4. Are you (at least) autoconfirmed?
  5. Can you review submissions based on their individual merits?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then please read the reviewing instructions and donate a little of your time to helping tackle the backlog.

Click here to review to a random submissionArticle selected by erwin85's random article script on toolserver.

We would greatly appreciate your help. Currently, only a small handful of users are reviewing articles. Any help, even if it's just 1 or 2 reviews, would be extremely beneficial.

RE:

I removed your comment because I do not want a "resolved" issue ressurected again, aka my edit being reverted as Vandalism, this was sorted out with another user. OK, I've self-reverted, even though I was "right" /: the user who reverted me quoted a different guideline to the one that should be used. I don't want to cause an argument, not at all, and I don't want to cause nastiness again which is what arose yesterday. --Τασουλα (talk) 23:49, 23 June 2012 (UTC)

Oh, don't take it personally, I removed it because I want to put a lot of distance between myself and the events of yesterday! And I've been a bit more informed now anyway, and I didn't want to edit-war, I thought I was doing something routine...I'm sorry.--Τασουλα (talk) 23:59, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
I know it was sorted out, it was just a tip. I find that being as concise as possible in edit summaries is helpful - jokey/light-hearted edit summaries when editing article space can sometimes cause people viewing it to mistake one as a vandal. As far the mini revert war, it seemed a very minor issue. It was really just a reminder that the article talk page is for discussion. If someone were to accuse you of properly edit warring, shouty edit summaries would not help your case. You could always bring it up with the other editor on their talk. I'm sorry if I worried you. It wasn't intended as nastiness, just a reminder so that it didn't become a full-blown edit war/argument. Best wishes, OohBunnies! Leave a message 00:07, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, I totally understand where you were coming from :P I've made some "revisions" to my editing here so I guess the past few days have taught me something! No, this was a very minor issue that kinda got out of hand for me... No worries, no feeling of nastiness, and I'm calm xD and I liked the pictures of your Bunnies...thinking of getting myself a Lop soon. Why don't you have any pictures of your bunnies on here? :P (And I wont comment on you playing World of Warcraft...) --Τασουλα (talk) 21:22, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

Advice & Info requested please

Hi OB!

I've been working on AfC's, saw your post on Mdann52's accepts, and thought maybe you would be a good person to ask for advice on this situation. It's not current, really, except for the extant articles already created. (User has collected a nice little set of CSD warnings, then Gilderien left a note, and the user seems to have stopped.) The user's contributions page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Vlas2000

What he/she has been doing is copying content from a Grecian museums website. There is no copyvio, because the source gives a share alike licence. But all of these articles have just been coming out like sausages, copy text, copy pictures, same format (not necessarily a bad thing!), and a lot of them, while suitable WP content by their nature, probably don't meet GNG.

Why am I bothering you with a non-problem? Because I just started patrolling new pages and would like advice on a good course of action if I should stumble across something similar in future. I registered in 2008, but have only really been active on WP in the last couple of weeks, so have very little active experience. Learned a LOT in working through about 150 AfC's in the last week though! :]

And - I believe there's a tool to give the user stats on their votes on AfDs (saw that on some Admin's page) and I wondered if there was a similar one to give me stats on my Accept/Declines on AfCs?

Finally, I hope you don't mind my little edit on your home page.... David_FLXD (Talk) 08:27, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

Hi David! The CC-by-SA license on the museum page does state that it requires attribution. Our preferred method of attribution is to link to the original source in the edit summary of the edit in which you import the text, so if you see someone making articles that includes text copied from an outside source and they're not doing that, it's good to tell them to. If the articles don't meet GNG you can always nominate them at Articles for Deletion. Other than that, all you can do is either tag them for clean-up and hope that someone gets to them eventually, or clean them up a little yourself and do some minor wikifying - i.e wikilinking, adding section headers, making sure the lead paragraph starts with the name of the subject in bold and all that.
If there is a tool for AfC stats, I don't know of it. If you use Twinkle for CSD tagging there is an option in the Twinkle settings at Wikipedia:Twinkle/Preferences to track your CSD tags, though. I think it creates a sub-page with a list of the pages you've tagged for CSD, to show which ones are deleted. I hope this answers your questions somewhat. Feel free to ask me anything any time. :) OohBunnies! (talk) 16:54, 7 July 2012 (UTC)
Thank you very much! What really bothered me about the Grecian museums pages is that there is no contributor text: it's the museum website text copied and that's it. I am using Twinkle and will at least be able to track CSD stats - though at this point I would be very cautious about invoking that! David_FLXD (Talk) 17:25, 7 July 2012 (UTC)

User:Tomica and WP:BOLD

Hello there OohBunnies! You may remember quite recently that User:Tomica had a problem at the Rihanna article where he was claiming that WP:BOLD edits should always be discussed with regular edits of articles first. Whilst you, myself and others informed him otherwise, he doesn't seem to have got the message [2]. I've invited him to a discussion at Template talk:Rihanna singles about the specifics, but I was wondering if you could speak to him about his general expectation that all edits made to pages he contributes to should be run by him beforehand. I'm sure he's much more likely to listen to you than he is me. Thanks in advance :) SplashScreen (talk) 00:01, 10 July 2012 (UTC)

Interaction bans

I just saw you mention this - I don't know exactly what they are or how they're enforced, but this would make my Wikilife a hell of a lot easier. Could you point me in the right direction of the policy? SplashScreen (talk) 23:12, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

WP:IBAN. Generally agreed on by community consensus. Generally dramatic. I don't see how it would work that well considering you edit in the same areas but meh. A tip though, you're close to getting blocked (a block-happy admin might come along at any moment). You need to learn that when an AfD doesn't go your way, you need to just drop it. When it happens to me, I just unwatch the article and force myself to forget about its existence, if aforementioned existence really bothers me that much. That makes Wikilife easier too. OohBunnies! (talk) 23:17, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for the advice. I genuinely appreciate it. However, I'd very much appreciate to be put forward for such a block (against Tomica and Status). Their following me around at almost every AfD is getting rather irksome. I think it's the only way to bring this to a close. SplashScreen (talk) 23:33, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
Again; I'm entitled to comment on AFDs of articles I created and any AFDs I want. Statυs (talk) 23:36, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
There are rights and there is behaviour. The two are completely different. SplashScreen (talk) 23:39, 11 July 2012 (UTC)
I guess I am too. In the end, everybody has its opinion so can give his/her vote on that kind of discussions. And tbh some (most) of your comments are not appropriate too. — Tomica (talk) 23:41, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

Yes, IBANS don't stop the affected parties from being able to comment on the same AfDs etc, although they wouldn't be allowed to directly talk to each other. It's a big step, and I dunno if this dispute quite at that level yet, not that I can ever see you guys getting along. It makes bunny sad. OohBunnies! (talk) 23:42, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

I'm sorry to keep involving you in this Bunny, but I certainly feel that there are a clique of editors who group together and take certain policy positions only when it suits themselves. The discrepancy between comments like this and comments like this are evidence of that. No I'm not trying to start a row on your talk page, I'm just making a general point; I never came to Wikipedia with the sole intention of causing a rivalry with Tomica, Status, Hahc21 etc. However, I do feel that they have continually made a point of behaving in such a way towards myself. Constantly backing up each others comments, randomly appearing on AfDs that I've started that are outside of their usual editing spaces. Yes, they have the right to do those things but, as I said earlier, rights and behaviours are different things. I've noticed that Status and Tomica are very young (and perhaps I would've been like that if I was editing Wikipedia at that age), but I just wish they'd realise that Wikipedia is not a war between JLo fans and Rihanna fans or Beyonce editors and Gaga editors or between anyone and anything. There was a reason that Bennifer and Personal life of Jennifer Lopez was deleted (they weren't notable) in the same way that there's a reason that Jennifer Lopez: Let's Get Loud‎ was nominated (it was an awful article). I just wish they'd stop taking Wikipedia so personally. And, quelle suprise, we've had two comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The US network TV schedule articles (2nd nomination) since I started writing this comment. Old habits die hard, eh? 23:54, 11 July 2012 (UTC)

How am I not to take it personally when you seem to like nominating articles I am involved with? Do you not see how that could some across? Surely you aren't that naive. You have a problem with WP:BEFORE. Personal life and Bennifer were deleted, so? Have I requested them to be un-deleted because I was upset about it? No, I haven't. I've moved on and accepted it; as I've pointed out to you previously. "I've noticed that Status and Tomica are very young (and perhaps I would've been like that if I was editing Wikipedia at that age), but I just wish they'd realise that Wikipedia is not a war between JLo fans and Rihanna fans or Beyonce editors and Gaga editors or between anyone and anything." Really? Where's the fucking war? I don't even know what you are talking about. And young? You don't even know my age. Statυs (talk) 00:02, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

As for Let's Get Loud, you didn't nominate it because it was an "awful article". You nominated it because "Non-notable concert film release". Same with Feelin' So Good, which was expanded 142x of what it was when you nominated it. Again, issues with WP:BEFORE. Statυs (talk) 00:05, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
I will actually be 20 in November, I wouldn't say that much young with nuances of mature. Lol, That's quite accusation. How old are you man so you can judge us? And yeah how do you know Status age? — Tomica (talk) 00:04, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
This is exactly the sort of thing I'm talking about. You aren't addressing the issues at hand but pointing fingers and saying "But you did this and you did this". And, surprise, here comes Tomica to back you up. I'd accept the argument if I'd nominated every article on which you've edited, but I haven't. Bennifer, Personal life of Jennifer Lopez, the JLo perfume articles and all the others were nominated and deleted in spite of your involvement, not because of it. It just so happens that you've created a hell of a lot of non-notable articles, which really is not my fault. You following me around the encyclopedia will not discourage me from nominating such articles in the future. The war is in front of you; your contradictory comments at AfDs depending on who is involved, your assumption that people are out to get you just because you create non-notable articles, the snide edit summaries, the constant finger-pointing, the following of users you dislike. And Status, you're 17. SplashScreen (talk) 00:11, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
I'm not here to fight. Just wanted to say that please, you are discussing something on Bunnies page that has nothing to do with her. Could you leave her talk page in peace and talk somewhere else? Do you know how disturbing this may be for her? None of you are taking into consideration that, really? —Hahc21 00:15, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
It's alright. I'm just looking at this and trying to think of solutions. :P OohBunnies! (talk) 00:17, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
"Oh, here's the other one. The rest of The Village People". I'm sure that Bunnies will remove this from her talk page if needs be. My original comment was addressed to her - it was Status who decided to kick off. SplashScreen (talk) 00:18, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Maybe Status and Tomica may not be old enough to understand that quote, but i do: Next time you commit personal attacks such as that one, i won't act as kind as i have been doing by now. Your attitude and comment are very unrespetful and ridiculous, at the point to reach the level of calling all us gay. Just as Bunnies said, you are close to being blocked. —Hahc21 00:29, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
Had to look up the context of that quote. Hope it was worth the personal attack report you will be receiving. Statυs (talk) 00:27, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
See. How do the two of you ever expect to get anywhere when it's always a game of who can out-report who or who can sound more superior than the other. Comparing the way that the members of your little troupe turn up at discussions to a scene from a soap opera is not the issue at hand (nor is it anything to do with being gay as neither the characters referred to in that scene or the majority of The Village People were gay). SplashScreen (talk) 00:31, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
(edit conflict) Let me say this: I have nothing against you. I don't care if those articles are deleted or not. Actually the first time i saw your name i was willing to be your friend. But the community changed my mind. Status and Tomica are not the only users who have challenged your actions. Many other users and admins have doe the same, so i think you must be careful with what you do and what you say. I've seen many users banned and i have participated there and it's a very sad situation that i wish nobody to be in. So, just make a soft thought about all this situation you have been involved. I have heard several admins willing to block you and it's allarming. Regards. —Hahc21 00:37, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
So because I have been threatened with a block, this makes me the devil incarnate as opposed to Saint Status, who was blocked twice just last week. Quite frankly, I couldn't care what your opinions of me are. Hahc21, Wikipedia is not about taking sides in every argument and treating debates like this as some sort of war. Haven't I tried to make that clear? SplashScreen (talk) 00:46, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Personal attacks? — Tomica (talk) 00:33, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh, good grief. Like talking to a brick wall. SplashScreen (talk) 00:33, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
...NPA? Statυs (talk) 00:35, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
The problem being that the comment was not personal, nor was it an attack. It was a pop culture reference to an obscurely famous quote [3]. The fact that it occurred on the talk page of an admin, who doesn't seem to concerned, should be all you need to know. SplashScreen (talk) 00:39, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
Bunnies is not an admin. —Hahc21 00:43, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
  • "Eileen and Gail were fighting in the street when they found out Todd was gay and Todd's brother Jason appeared straight from work on the building site and Gail said "oh look here comes the rest of the village people". Statυs (talk) 00:41, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
  • OohBunnies! isn't an admin, either. Statυs (talk) 00:42, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
  • Yeah, that's right. The characters refereed to as the Village People weren't gay. They were builders. I used the quote because your group is like that scene - everytime someone ends up in a row, the two friends come strolling along to join in. Them being gay is inconsequential. Why are you so outraged? What's wrong with being gay? SplashScreen (talk) 00:46, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
  • (edit conflict) There's nothing wrong with being gay, but surely if you call someone "Village People" they will think you are calling them "gay". Well, anyway, let's just drop this ok?. I'm tired to be in this disputes all over Wikipedia. I agree, Status, Tomica and I are good friends and are in constant communication, but we are not conspiring against you. Just that, sometimes, you make one of us upset. —Hahc21 00:53, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
  • Where is my outage? All I did was quote the text and link to WP:NPA? Statυs (talk) 00:50, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
  • The outrage was found in the whole "I'm reporting you for X and Y! This is a personal attack!" from you and your two friends. SplashScreen (talk) 00:52, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
  • Please read over the text again; thank you very much. Have a good evening. Statυs (talk) 00:53, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Shush. Just when I think it can't get any sillier. Normally I'd say, "can't you try voluntarily staying away from each other" before mentioning IBANS but I don't know if any of could do that. Could you? And the fact is, I could make a thread somewhere, laying out some context and proposing an interaction ban but there'd be no telling the outcome. People might just think it's easier to block. (Oh, and I'm not an admin...just a regular editor like all of you.) And Splash, you are erring on the wrong side of the civility line, so lets calm down now, please. OohBunnies! (talk) 00:43, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

IBANS really would be a fabulous idea. SplashScreen (talk) 00:55, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
Well, I've proposed it at ANI. Might I suggest, to all of you, that if you comment there, keep it civil and to the point, and try not to incessantly fling around accusations. OohBunnies! (talk) 01:25, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

I aplogize

For blowin' up your talk page. I hope you don't receive emails every time somebody edits it. I used to, but I stopped them because they got annoying as hell xD. Statυs (talk) 01:08, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

For your great patience and superb dispute resolution skills in the Status/SplashScreen/Tomica stoush. Shirt58 (talk) 11:45, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
Oh, thank you! That's a nice surprise and a lovely compliment. My talk page did need some cheering up! :) OohBunnies! (talk) 11:54, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
Just quietly, I'm wondering why Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/OohBunnies! is still a red-link.--Shirt58 (talk) 12:00, 12 July 2012 (UTC)
Well, probably because I've never ran for adminship ;) Maybe in the future I could run, I don't know. I have no plans for anything like that any time soon. OohBunnies! (talk) 12:12, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Adequateness of referencing

Dear OohBunnies, My submission have been rejected again as a result inadequate referencing. This is my 1st submission and I do not understand what the required standards are. My submission is about my high school, there is no research publication with the school as subject. The information is from the school website, school annuals and articles written by the historical association of the town as well as o book about the founder. I have reference the information to the website and to wikipedia. What do you want more. The wiki page of another school which i used as template have only the schools own website as reference and that is adequate. Please help — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pduplessis1 (talkcontribs) 07:48, 16 July 2012 (UTC)

Declinal for Octopus Music API

Dear Bunnie,

I would like to know what i should have to change on Octopus Music API article to make it approved. Yes, it is important to many music performance researchers - ask that to ICCMR(UK) LOL! - and many other universities using it across the globe.

I'm waiting for you advice.

Carrots and carrots to you.

Yours,

Mike — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maiccof (talkcontribs) 00:46, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Inadequate referencing

Dear Ooh, Thanks for your response. Unfortunately I do not know when a reviewer will find the article acceptable. I wrote the article with my personal knowledge, I checked ( and reference) it with the website of the school that is independent from me. The fact are then cross checked and referenced to articles by the Historical association of the town. Other items are linked to other wiki pages and websites. The article is then still found to be unacceptable. As far as I know there are no researched documents or books about this little school in a small town in Africa. This is also not any deep scientific or controversial article neither will I gain anything from the publication, this is a just attempt to record the known history/background of the school. What must I do to get the article published?Pduplessis1 (talk) 10:14, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Private pictures

Ooh Bunnies, thanks for taking the time to respond. I have submitted a personal photo on my wiki and was rejected on account I did not have the copyright information. I selected "edit" and then put in some verbiage that said it was a personal photo and that all rights were held by two individuals. It still did not pass. Can you give me insight into what I need to write to get the photo/image approved?

Thank you, Steve76.25.8.241 (talk) 18:47, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Article for Creation

Hi OohBunnies!

Would you mind taking a look again at a page I created and that you declined? I think I have addressed the problems you raised, but am not really sure. I would appreciate any help or further suggestions.

Thanks! Scootsalong (talk) 17:00, 25 July 2012 (UTC)

A kitten for you!

Just for the brilliant and wise advice : "The world is not going to end because someone told you to fuck off, or reverted your edits a couple of times. Look at some pictures of baby animals for a while instead of making that ANI thread and things might turn out better in the long run." I liked it so much, I made an essay out of it.

(Full disclosure : I am a cat lover, but have you seen what they can do to bunnies in the wild? Eek...)

Ritchie333 (talk) 19:01, 27 July 2012 (UTC)

Haha, I'm honored! And I am aware of how cats view bunnies: hungrily. It's okay though, everything's a predator to a bunny. That's why Frith gave them speed and cunning. :D OohBunnies! (talk) 05:15, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

I don't think it would have mattered really, whether on-wiki or by email, but if you felt more comfortable discussing it via email then that's just fine. OohBunnies! (talk) 04:43, 28 July 2012 (UTC)

please

Look at the sources, the news sources, the news interviews (posted by the news channel on their own Youtube page), and see if deleting them just because one doesn't like Sister Roma and what she represents is supported by common sense. One of the highest awards in the LGBT is getting elected as a Pride grand marshal. And they only begrudgingly add it after a dozen deletions! This is a bully situation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Panther Pink (talkcontribs) 09:57, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

I'm afraid I don't really want to try and collaborate with you while you continue to use scare words like "bully" and "censorship" and as you continue to insist that the editors who are not in agreement with you are opposed to Sister Roma/LGBT. Implying such is an ad hominem attack. OohBunnies! (talk) 13:04, 4 August 2012 (UTC)

AFC Backlog

Articles for Creation urgently needs YOUR help!

Articles for Creation is desperately short of reviewers! We are looking for urgent help, from experienced editors, in reviewing submissions in the pending submissions queue. Currently there are 2573 submissions waiting to be reviewed and many help requests at our Help Desk.

Do you have what it takes?
  1. Are you familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines?
  2. Do you know what Wikipedia is and is not?
  3. Do you have a working knowledge of the Manual of Style, particularly article naming conventions?
  4. Are you autoconfirmed?
  5. Can you review submissions based on their individual merits?

If the answer to these questions is yes, then please read the reviewing instructions and donate a little of your time to helping tackle the backlog. You might wish to add {{AFC status}} or {{AfC Defcon}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions.

PS: we have a great AFC helper script at User:Timotheus Canens/afchelper4.js which helps in reviewing in just few edits easily!

We would greatly appreciate your help. Currently, only a small handful of users are reviewing articles. Any help, even if it's just 2 or 3 reviews, it would be extremely beneficial.

Sorry

Hello. I just wanted to apologise to you for my behavior. I know it was completely out of line. But I did not do it intentionally. I deleted the second column myself so you aren't insulted. I shouldn't have talked like that to you. Please I am truly sorry. I hope you understand that I never meant any disrespect. -- MegaCyanide666 (talk) 15:00, 18 August 2012 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.199.94.165 (talk)

Hey, it's alright, no harm done. Don't worry about it. Everything is fine. :) OohBunnies! (talk) 22:48, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
Thank you! -- MegaCyanide666 (talk) 06:30, 22 August 2012

Excuse me no offence but I'll like to ask why my comment was deleted when I did you a favor by telling MC666 not to do and repeat this kind of behavior of Wikipedia. I didn't even mean you anything,I was just talking to him. ThePariahOne (talk) 08:11, 25 August 2012 (UTC)

RacingThePlanet

Hi there, in response to your message - I should have clarified that as well as correcting spelling mistakes, I was removing some of my own content that I decided wasn't appropriate to be on the page. As I wasn't removing someone else's writing I didn't think that was an issue. Noted for next time Halojones88 (talk) 09:18, 24 August 2012 (UTC)

Dear OohBunnies!

There is another war break-out on the RacingThePlanet page. I've tried to act within the wiki guidelines - not deleting other people's content, going to the talk page to start discussions etc etc, but there is some blatant vanadlism going on - particularly from someone called Diligaf. There is a mass of subjective content being put on the page, and balancing content which I have put on the page has been outright deleted. The main content is about The Kimberley Ultramarathon inquiry and it's basically taken over the page. Because there are obviously some strong feelings out there I have suggested that it gets it's own wiki page. What do you think? I would also like to suggest a block on editing the page until other contributors come back and discuss properly on the Talk page. Please let me know what you think or what can be done to get people to discuss on the Talk page rather than this battle of deleting and reposting content.

Thanks for your help. Halojones88 (talk) 05:39, 4 September 2012 (UTC)
