Disambiguation link notification for March 25 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited J Hus, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Stratford. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Page mover granted edit

Hello, Launchballer. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, and move subpages when moving the parent page(s).

Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.

Useful links:

If you do not want the page mover right anymore, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Thank you, and happy editing! ~ Rob13Talk 16:57, 26 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Narayan (song) edit

Hello, Launchballer. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Narayan (song), for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

 1. edit the page
 2. remove the text that looks like this:
 3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Your signature edit

Please be aware that your signature uses deprecated <font> tags, which are causing Obsolete HTML tags lint errors. Your signature is also causing Tidy bug affecting font tags wrapping links.

You are encouraged to change

<span style="background:#FF0;font-family:Rockwell Extra Bold"><font color="#00F">Laun</font><font color="#00F">chba</font><font color="#00F">ller</font></span> : Launchballer

to

<span style="background:#FF0;font-family:Rockwell Extra Bold"><span style="color:#00F">Laun</span><span style="color:#00F">chba</span><span style="color:#00F">ller</span></span> : Launchballer

However, that won't work, as it exceeds by 5 the limit of 255 characters. Possible workarounds:

 • use a shorter font name
 • include bold or italics, which paradoxically allow for shorter declarations:
<span style="background:#FF0;font-family:Rockwell Extra Bold"><b style="color:#00F">Laun</b><b style="color:#00F">chba</b><b style="color:#00F">ller</b></span> : Launchballer
<span style="background:#FF0;font-family:Rockwell Extra Bold"><i style="color:#00F">Laun</i><i style="color:#00F">chba</i><i style="color:#00F">ller</i></span> : Launchballer

If neither of those are acceptable, ping me and I'll see what else I can come up with. —Anomalocaris (talk) 21:36, 29 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

I really can't take a diatribe on signatures seriously from a user who's signed his post twice. In theory, Launchballer should work, and I am at a loss as to why my Preferences tells me "Invalid raw signature. Check HTML tags.".--Launchballer 22:48, 29 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
Sorry about double-signing the previous post. Your proposed signature doesn't work because the signature tester won't allow style markup that isn't in quotes. Putting your proposed markup
<span style="background:#FF0;font-family:Rockwell Extra Bold"><span style=color:#00F>Laun</span><span style=color:#00F>chba</span><span style=color:#00F>ller</span></span> : Launchballer
in quotes yields:
<span style="background:#FF0;font-family:Rockwell Extra Bold"><span style="color:#00F">Laun</span><span style="color:#00F">chba</span><span style="color:#00F">ller</span></span> : Launchballer
but that is 5 characters over the limit. —Anomalocaris (talk) 05:42, 30 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
I've had a rummage through this website. My signature is underlined for most people, so <span style="background:#FF0;font-family:Rockwell Extra Bold"><u style="color:#00F">Laun</u><u style="color:#00F">chba</u><u style="color:#00F">ller</u></span> : Launchballer has the least impact. I've changed it to that. I've got to say, is it displaying in Rockwell Extra Bold for you? It isn't for me. It should look like the font used on my website.--Launchballer 19:31, 30 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
I have a Windows 7 computer and Rockwell Extra Bold is not part of that, and your signature displays in font more like Times New Roman. Thank you for removing the lint from your signature! —Anomalocaris (talk) 01:46, 31 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
Mm. I've just spotted one thing about the signature I don't quite like but can probably live with; the "chba" is underlined on this page, when it doesn't link anywhere. Still, could be worse. Take a look at Rockwell Extra Bold next time you use Microsoft Word.--Launchballer 01:56, 31 December 2017 (UTC)Reply

Calliopejen I don't accept that this article doesn't qualify for a Wikipedia article. Per WP:SCHOOLOUTCOMES, higher education establishments are considered de facto notable. That said, ask Goodhew1 - that editor compiled the draft, all I did was submit it.--Launchballer 08:20, 29 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion declined: What the Hell Is Going On? edit

Hello Launchballer. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of What the Hell Is Going On?, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: coverage in reliable sources and release on notable label indicate significance (A9 requires both lack of significance *and* lack of an artist's article). Thank you. SoWhy 07:05, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution edit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Fox (band) into Noosha Fox. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from page name; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted copied template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 23:00, 24 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

DYK for North Cheam tube station edit

On 8 May 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article North Cheam tube station, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Northern line, which already served the southernmost station on the London Underground, was proposed to be extended southward to North Cheam in 1946? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/North Cheam tube station. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, North Cheam tube station), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.
