Speedy deletion nomination of Old-Reformed Congregations in the Netherlands edit

Hello Cryx88,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Old-Reformed Congregations in the Netherlands for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Mdann52 (talk) 13:47, 6 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Presbyterian and reformed denominations edit

Thanks so much for all your work on Presbyterian and reformed denominations around the world. I think, however, that you have misunderstood the category Category:Presbyterianism by country. This is not for individual denominations, which should instead go in the subcategories, Category:Presbyterianism in Australia. I know this is a lot of stuff to fix, but I would appreciate your help. Hi. Proposed deletion of Reformed Church in Africa, South Africa edit

The deletion of an article you created, Reformed Church in Africa, South Africa, has been proposed for the following reason:

Believe this is a duplicate of Dutch Reformed Church in South Africa

You are welcome to improve the article to meet Wikipedia's quality standards and remove the deletion notice from the article. You may also remove the notice if you disagree with the deletion, though in such cases, further discussion may take place at Articles for deletion, and the article may still be deleted if there is a consensus to do so.

Wikipedia has certain standards for inclusion that all articles must meet. Certain types of article must establish the notability of their subject by asserting its importance or significance. Ways to improve Evangelical Church in Liechtenstein edit

Hi, I'm Jorgath. Cryx88, thanks for creating Evangelical Church in Liechtenstein!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Although this subject is probably notable, there's not sufficient information to judge that. Please expand it further.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. —Preceding undated comment added 16:22, 19 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Sudanese Church of Crist edit

Hello Cryx88,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Sudanese Church of Crist for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks,

Pix on Presbyterian Church in America edit

I applaud your recent additions of pictures to this page. However, I'm not sure why some of them have been selected. Adding more information to the caption would be a great way to indicate why a particular church building is an appropriate picture for the article or for a particular section. This would be helpful even when the reason is explained in nearby text, e.g., Briarwood. YBG (talk) 15:56, 11 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

I think the article with pictures is more friendly, than the pure text only version. Why Briarwood Presbyterian for example? The PCA was formed there. It can be better imagine the whole story with the picture the place, the building where the PCA was created. If you have better pictures more suitable for the article please help to have a better article. Cryx88 Thanks your opinion. (Copied from here by YBG to keep the dialog in context)
I think you missed my point. I understand why Briarwood was included, but didn't understand the significance of any of the other pictures you selected. I think the Briarwood picture is better now that I have added explanatory info to the caption -- even though it repeats info in the text itself. I assume you have very good reasons for selecting the other church buildings, and hope you could expand the captions for the other pictures accordingly. Thanks for your hard work! (PS, you can reply here to keep the dialog in context) YBG (talk) 05:44, 12 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Hello. Thanks for your help editing the ECO (denomination) article. However, your latest edits do not adhere to Wikipedia's policies on verifiability, see Wikipedia:Verifiability for more information. In a nutshell, this policy requires that "Readers must be able to check that Wikipedia articles are not just made up. This means that all quotations and any material challenged or likely to be challenged must be attributed to a reliable, published source using an inline citation." If you have a reliable source for the number of congregations in ECO, you must place that in a citation within the article. Otherwise, the number should remain the same as stated in the most recent ECO E-newsletter.

So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the VisualEditor on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere.

What's important here, though, is that the VisualEditor features an interactive template inspector; you click an icon on a template and it shows you the parameters, the contents of those fields, and human-readable parameter names, along with descriptions of what each parameter does. Personally, I find this pretty awesome, and from Monday it's going to be heavily used, since, as said, the VisualEditor will become the default.

The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small JSON data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide here, along with a list of prominent templates, although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the Feedback page.

Speedy deletion nomination of Presbyterian Church in Korea (SunGyo) edit

Hello Cryx88,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Presbyterian Church in Korea (SunGyo) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Swibe (talk) 16:14, 7 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Your contributed article, Presbyterian Chutch in Korea (SunGyo) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Presbyterian Chutch in Korea (SunGyo). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Presbyterian Church in Korea (SunGyo). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Presbyterian Church in Korea (SunGyo) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Frietjes (talk) 15:44, 21 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

Repost of Japan Presbytery - Cumberland Presbyterian Church edit

A tag has been placed on Japan Presbytery - Cumberland Presbyterian Church requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this:   which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's discussion directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of recreating the page. Thank you. --Frietjes (talk) 15:44, 21 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

WikiIndaba and Wikipedian in Residence Notice edit

Dear Cryx88

As a Wikipedian interested in African subjects and specifically Malawi, I would like you to be aware of the following two opportunities:

1. Wikimedia South Africa and WikiAfrica are organising an WikiIndaba for February 2014 – a continental meeting for Africa-based Wikipedians to get together, discuss challenges and drive the agenda for Wikipedia from Africa. If you support this initiative, then please sign up on this site: http://wikiindaba.net – we also want to hear what you want the Wiki Indaba to achieve. What are your expectations? What does it need to include? Who and what do you want to see happen at WikiIndaba? What is your area of interest? Languages? Data? Please share your ideas and thoughts on the Community Portal

2. WikiAfrica is looking for a Wikipedian in Residence from Malawi. This might be a position that you would consider. Or it could be the perfect opportunity for someone you know from Malawi, please spread the word! For more details, please look at this page: http://www.wikiafrica.net/wikipedian-in-residence-malawi

If you have any questions about either of the above, please contact isla on isla [at] wikiafrica [dot] net : Isla Haddow (talk)

Steadfastlutherans.org, the source you keep adding, appears to be a blog and one that doesn't have a neutral point of view. Blogs are not reliable sources and even if they were, Time Magazine is a much better source than steadfastlutherans.org. So, please stop changing the sources back to the steadfastlutherans.org blog. - Frietjes (talk)

Template:World Reformed Fellowship edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Template:World Reformed Fellowship. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Frietjes (talk) 15:44, 21 September 2013 (UTC)Reply

User warning edit

Your recent editing history at Template:Religion in South Africa shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.
Edit warring won't get you anywhere, please discuss per WP:BRD. HelenOnline 12:04, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Notice of Edit warring noticeboard discussion edit

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a discussion involving you at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring regarding a possible violation of Wikipedia's policy on edit warring. The thread is Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring#User:Cryx88 reported by User:Dougweller (Result: ). Thank you. Dougweller (talk) 15:05, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Template:Religion in South Africa, you may be blocked from editing. Dougweller (talk) 15:21, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Ignoring copyvio warnings edit

This is a serious problem. If you continue to add copyvio and I discover it I will block you indefinitely until you can convince another Administrator you won't do this again. It's great to create articles but you need to avoid copyvio (and apparently learn about reliably sourcing them from what I see above). Dougweller (talk) 15:31, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for your disruption caused by edit warring and violation of the three-revert rule at Template:Religion in South Africa. During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} below this notice, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Bbb23 (talk) 15:54, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

I need to add a few comments to this block for the future. Putting aside the breach of WP:3RR, your editing history at Wikipedia is troubling. You violate copyright and then ignore warnings instead of remedying the problem. You repeatedly create articles that are speedily deleted. Many of your edits evince a bias, including the edits of the template that led to block. You are entitled to your personal biases, but they have no place on Wikipedia pages. Finally, you don't discuss issues with other editors. Wikipedia is a collaborative environment, and you are required to discuss editors' challenges to your edits. Bottom line: if you return after expiration of this block and repeat the same misconduct, you are likely to be blocked for much longer, potentially indefinitely.--Bbb23 (talk) 15:59, 22 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of University Presbyterian Church (Seattle, Washington) edit

Hello Cryx88,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged University Presbyterian Church (Seattle, Washington) for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. ColonelHenry (talk) 07:41, 24 January 2014 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of City Presbyterian Church (PCA) edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on City Presbyterian Church (PCA) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". StAnselm (talk) 19:18, 15 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Presbytery of Albany edit

The article Presbytery of Albany has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Presbyteries are generally not notable; this doesn't seem any different.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for violating copyright policy by copying text or images into Wikipedia from another source without verifying permission. You have been previously warned that this is against policy, but have persisted. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Dougweller (talk) 18:48, 6 March 2014 (UTC)Reply
You also ignored the reason that led to your first block, your pov editing at Template:Religion in South Africa for which I would have blocked you anyway. But Mehrete Yesus Evangelical Presbyterian Church clearly has material copied form Historical Dictionary of the Reformed Churches[1] and Bethesda Presbyterian Church (Edwards, Mississippi) has material clearly only slightly changed from the source. Sockpuppet investigation edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Cryx88, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
