Earlier effort

edit

There's an earlier partial effort (redlinks only, and not all occupations) here Dsp13 (talk) 11:25, 7 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Mother Mary Katharine Drexel

edit

Mother Mary Katharine Drexel should not be red but the form of her name in NAB made it a miss: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Katharine_Drexel not sure how to fix.Kmccook (talk) 16:06, 7 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

That kind of situation is well-handled by redirect pages, I think. I've added a redirect page from that name form here. Dsp13 (talk) 12:16, 8 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
edit

I've checked all the redlinks in volumes 1-3 and created redirects for everything that has an article, so I believe they are all legit redlinks now, but feel free to double check! Gamaliel (talk) 14:26, 8 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

that's fantastic work! Dsp13 (talk) 17:43, 8 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Gamaliel, I just did the same for volume 5. Calliopejen1 (talk) 20:12, 8 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
Calliopejen1 Nice work, thanks! I just finished 4. I think the next step is to give people a chance to catch any errors we missed - blue links to disambiguation pages, etc. - and then I'll start matching the redlinks to Wikidata items. Gamaliel (talk) 02:03, 9 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

sections and column listing?

edit

I find that the column listing template stops the sections beneath being individually editable. If they're providing benefit for others, then I'm happy for them to stay, otherwise I suggest removing them. What do people think? Dsp13 (talk) 17:43, 8 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

I have no idea how these work apparently, as I've made several failed attempts to get them to display properly. I say take them all out until we're done editing the list. Gamaliel (talk) 17:51, 8 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

wikidata list ready

edit

Based on the work everyone's done here, I took the redlinks and worked up a wikidata-generated list: Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/Missing articles by dictionary/NAW

Naturally I'll have to make adjustments when we find new redlinks here, but it's great to see that we were able to get to this point so quickly. Thank you! Gamaliel (talk) 18:39, 10 September 2021 (UTC)Reply
