Can someone from the area fill in a bibliography for the newspaper articles and awards mentioned by a new user in this article. It may survive better in that regards then as the awards and newspaper articles were requested in regards notability. The new user supplied, but they need references/citations now. Coordinators' working group
Hi! I'd like to draw your attention to the new WikiProject coordinators' working group, an effort to bring both official and unofficial WikiProject coordinators together so that the projects can more easily develop consensus and collaborate. This group has been created after discussion regarding possible changes to the A-Class review system, and that may be one of the first things discussed by interested coordinators.
All designated project coordinators are invited to join this working group. Categories for discussion
Per lots of consensus nominations, I've been systematically nominating pretty much every category that only has a US city name in it to gain either the name of the state or the metro area, and so far all the nominations have passed. Cities like Chicago, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Omaha, Baltimore, and Los Angeles have all gained the state modifier by consensus. I nominated several Louisville categories here. I understand Louisville's municipal boundaries create some possible confusion. So I'd like you guys to comment on which categories you'd like to see get the "Louisville, Kentucky" treatment, and which should get the "Louisville metropolitan area" treatment. (The concept of leaving off the state name because the metro area is defined by only a city name has not been supported.) Feedback is welcome.--Mike Selinker (talk) 15:57, 13 March 2009 (UTC)
This is a notice to let you know about Article alerts, a fully-automated subscription-based news delivery system designed to notify WikiProjects and Taskforces when articles are entering Articles for deletion, Requests for comment, Peer review and other workflows (full list). The reports are updated on a daily basis, and provide brief summaries of what happened, with relevant links to discussion or results when possible. A certain degree of customization is available; WikiProjects and Taskforces can choose which workflows to include, have individual reports generated for each workflow, have deletion discussion transcluded on the reports, and so on. An example of a customized report can be found here.
If you are already subscribed to Article Alerts, it is now easier to report bugs and request new features. We are also in the process of implementing a "news system", which would let projects know about ongoing discussions on a wikipedia-wide level, and other things of interest. The developers also note that some subscribing WikiProjects and Taskforces use the display=none parameter, but forget to give a link to their alert page. Your alert page should be located at "Wikipedia:PROJECT-OR-TASKFORCE-HOMEPAGE/Article alerts". Questions and feedback should be left at Wikipedia talk:Article alerts.

I finally got around to creating the Forecastle article. Feel free to add, expand, critique. Does anyone have input as to the name? The requested article page's redlink was for Forecastle Festival, but all the media references, including the official website seem to just call it Forecastle. --SquidSK (1MC•log) 19:44, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks for creating the article! On the Forecastle site, the about page and the copyright stuff in the footer say "Forecastle Festival", although its full name appears to be "The Forecastle Festival and Summer Symposium". I wouldn't worry about it too much. Wikipedia makes it easy to move articles to new names. Stevie is the man! Talk • Work 16:48, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I tried to move Forecastle (festival) to Forecastle Festival, but that title has been salted. I'm guessing someone has tried a little too enthusiastically to create it in the past. Before I go to the admins to get it unblocked, do you know any history of this article's creation that I should be aware of? Has it been AfD'd? --SquidSK (1MC•log) 14:21, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
