Memebership Problem

Hey guys can anyone tell me how can i become the member of Wikiproject India. i inserted a Template to my userpage, but seems it does not work for me. Please help me know where i have made a mistake!!

It seems that we have to edit that section and our name! I have also added that template, still no name in the list! Unfortunately, it seems that it isnt the correct procedure. I checked the history of that page. Everyone is editing the page & adding the names. Random letter groupings

It appears that someone added the random letter groupings on or about 13 February, and (approximately) alphabetized the entries. The alphabetization may make sense, but I significantly doubt the random letter groupings add to the value of the membership list. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 20:54, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Non-existent users

There are or were a number of names added as project members by other editors where there is no account for those names. There are also names added by editors whose only edit was to add their name, or who added a different form of their name (but still their only edit). This is all in the active list. I've cleaned some up but it's still a bit of a mess and shouldn't be used to count the number of members. I'm giving up now. Dougweller (talk) 09:48, 28 December 2010 (UTC)

I agree with you. IPs are recently adding their names which doesn't exist in wikipedia. There should be also rules which states that only registered users can add their name in the list.
