Lists edit

A number of lists were classed NA, there is a "list" class available but I am not sure where it fits, {{WikiProject Dance|class=list|importance=}}. Suggestions please. Paul foord 14:04, 2 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

I have modified the template, to create a Category:List-Class Dance articles Paul foord 13:01, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Featured Article Assessments edit

A man who goes by the user name Cswrye did a featured article assesment on the article on La Bayadere, which I pretty much re-wrote from top to bottom.

For some reason he gave the article a 'B'. I have emailed him twice aleardy to ask him his rationale for such a rating, and he has ignored my messages. Its not that I care about the rating, I just wanted to know how he came to conclude that the article deserved this rating, being that nowhere does he explain it on the discussion page or anywhere else. It also seems that he came to rate this article on his own, which I feel is ridiculous - it should be done with feedback from members of the wikiproject dance.

With regard to the article on La Bayadere, I dont see how an article which explains in detail one of the most important works in the classical ballet repertory could be given a B rating. Nowhere on the world wide web can one find any information on this ballet that is as in depth as this one.

From the looks of things this user doesnt seem to me to have any business rating any ballet related article - he has no "credentials" for rating an article pertaining to ballet history, and yet he has still rated this article.

Anyway, all of this made me wonder about these assessments, and thier relevance - Does anyone know how one goes about doing them? Can anyone do it? When one does one of these asessments, do they judge the article based on its importance to the wiki dance project, or do they judge it based on wether or not it meets the wikipedia guidelines? When one does judge the article, do they do it with others or on thier own?

I am under the impression that this person did this assessment on his own, and had no feedback from others.

Thanks alot! --Mrlopez2681 20:01, 8 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Assessments tend to be done by individuals, if you disagree use the article comments page to provide feedback or re-rate and explain on comments page Paul foord 13:01, 11 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

A-rating without GA edit

The criteria for an A rating specifically state that GA status is not required for an A rating, yet the "request for assessment" section states that no rating above B will be given through this process, with links to FA and GA "for higher assessments." Which is it? — eitch 10:52, 16 January 2012 (UTC)Reply
