Following the Mailing list discussion that we had, here's a call for an informal meetup of Indian Wikipedians ( Any language Wikipedians :) ) soon. We can talk about an Indian chapter of Wikimedia and We can talk about an Indian chapter of Wikimedia and other stuff related to Wikipedia. Don't you think we ought to have a name tag? There was some wikimeet where they had a name tag which said something like " Hi I am (Insert your name), you probably know me on Wikipedia as (Insert username here )" .... Date and Venue

I have just proposed for first weekend of July so that we can plan and attract maximum participation. Please discuss date and venue here for consensus -- Tinu Cherian - 04:25, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

• Well, at least for me travelling to the outskirts of the city would be difficult... anyway travelling to and fro and timing could be an issue, if the location is at the outskirts. However that's my opinion. I agree with SBC-YPR's suggestion of meeting at some public place. A possible location could be the CCD near Jyothi Niwas College which is IMO a very comfortable meeting place. --Srikeit 18:12, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Now that most people prefer South/East, I am happy to host this at my residance at Marathahalli , unless somebody has any other suggestions/objections. Regarding the dates, I think more people will be comfortable with Sunday, July 5th based on offline discussions. For those who arent able to make on this day, we will have this exercise more often hereafter. So shall I lock for Marathahalli, July 5th 2009 , Sunday evening 4:00 - 5:00 PM ? Marathahalli is located here, in east Bangalore (Jayanagar is in south Bangalore). From the bus stop at the intersection of 9th Main/46th Cross, Jayanagar 5th Block, take 500-A, 500-C, or 500-K (all Volvos) which will drop you at Marathahalli Bridge.
