History needs doubling edit

Did You Know (DYK) comes out twice a day, so we need two page history's to document each "day". Cheers! {{u|Checkingfax}} {Talk} 18:46, 27 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

Merge edit

Wikipedia:History of the Main Page, which detailed the story of the Main Page itself rather than what has appeared on the Main Page, has been merged here. The two topics are complementary and sit well together. Fences&Windows 16:26, 9 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Updates edit

Why hasn't Main Page history been updating the past week or so? Have the snapshots moved or is a bot down? – Reidgreg (talk) 01:36, 9 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

User:ProcBot says "The bot is approved and currently active" but it hasn't edited since 26 September. I don't know why. It's run by ProcrastinatingReader. PrimeHunter (talk) 02:39, 9 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Thanks, I've left a note on the bot operator's talk page. – Reidgreg (talk) 05:12, 9 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
@PrimeHunter: thanks for taking the manual snapshots! BTW, DYK is only updating once per day now, so I think one daily snapshot covers it. – Reidgreg (talk) 03:00, 10 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
The bot operator says it should be fixed now. I've reconstructed a few of the missing snapshots using the archives and page histories of the various sections, and will try to finish the rest after a break. – Reidgreg (talk) 14:40, 10 October 2021 (UTC). Done. – Reidgreg (talk) 18:27, 10 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Broken Main Pages edit

Several Main Pages on this pages are broken; Wikipedia:Main Page history/2021 January 6b, for instance, has excessive padding in the TFA box and the bulleted elements are listed, not inline. While I understand the importance of maintaining the markup of a page, perhaps these pages should be fixed.

I'm not familiar with how MediaWiki works, so I can't provide a solution to this, but I've heard of TemplateStyles. Perhaps we could use TemplateStyles to add in missing CSS without readding changes to Common.css (e.g. .hlist.inline)? elijahpepe@wikipedia (he/him) 01:54, 30 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Updates again edit

Main Page history hasn't been updating regularly since 18 June. Messages have been left on the bot operator's talk page and an email has been sent. – Reidgreg (talk) 19:17, 4 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Bumping this issue -- there, again, seem to be no update. Can anyone help? WatkynBassett (talk) 19:36, 22 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
