Update needed due to change in long-term inactivity
edit@Moe Epsilon and Graham87: .We need to update as per a new RFC " Over two years with no edits. If an editor has had at least two years of uninterrupted inactivity (no edits) between the removal of the admin tools and the re-request, regardless of the reason for removal, the editor will need to instead request through the WP:RFA process. In the case of an administrator desysopped due to a year of inactivity, only one year of continued uninterrupted inactivity (no edits) from the removal due to inactivity is required before a new WP:RFA is necessary. - Yeah, and the five years with no logged actions thing ... I've never felt like they're huge priorities though, and I don't really feel like doing all the work by hand. Graham87 06:09, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- Aha, having read the RFC statement in question, it's a *change* from three to two years. I didn't really read it earlier ... I thought this section was referring to something else. Moe, could you update the relevant pages at some point like you did last time? Thanks! Graham87 09:10, 6 November 2019 (UTC)
- I am currently busy in real life, however, I can try to squeeze in time soon to try and update the page. — Moe Epsilon 04:17, 8 November 2019 (UTC)
- I have updated the long term inactive in the resigned page till this year end.Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 10:00, 8 November 2019 (UTC)
- If I can have a day where I have the time (and inclibnation) to update the inactive page (or a large portion of it), and nobody else has gotten their first, I might give it a whirl, too. Graham87 14:06, 8 November 2019 (UTC)
- I've gone and updated it for the new two-year cutoff. Graham87 11:33, 9 November 2019 (UTC)

- Great work Graham87 do we update the five years with no logged actions also.Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 10:05, 10 November 2019 (UTC)
- If you want ... I wonder if that would need a new column though. That one is generally much easier to check as needed... and is even more painful to work on. Graham87 14:14, 10 November 2019 (UTC)
- Nearly four years later, I've finally gone and updated the inactive page for the 5-year actions cut-off! Graham87 12:57, 31 August 2023 (UTC)

Missing entries
editSurely, the admin sockpuppet, User:Lourdes, and their master admin account, User:Wifione, should be added to the second table at Wikipedia:Former administrators/reason/for cause? Nick Moyes (talk) 22:56, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Nick Moyes They both resigned, actually, so they wouldn't go on the for cause page. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 23:19, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Moneytrees That's rather moot, isn't it? IIRC, Lourdes was a sockpuppet (of an account blocked in 2015) when they later gained administrator rights, so isn't being blocked for being a "self disclosed sock of site-banned editor" cause enough to be entered on the table? Being a sock, none of their edits were ever effectively valid, including resignation, IMHO Leaving them off completely from the 'for cause' table, yet leaving them on the 'resigned' page seems inappropriate to me. Lourdes, themself, recognised this was "under a cloud" and they were blocked as a sock just 24 hours later. I'd say that was certainly "for cause". Anything else seems a let-off.
- But maybe it's all water under the bridge, and it doesn't matter now, anyway. Regards, Nick Moyes (talk) 20:12, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Nick Moyes Well to be clear, the For cause page is only for accounts desysoped by Arbcom vote, and neither account ever was- they both resigned on their own terms, so they go on the "resigned" page, along with all the other admins who have resigned (under a cloud or not). The "for cause" which lead to their resignation is different than the "for cause" of the admins on the For cause page, if that makes sense. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 20:25, 31 March 2024 (UTC)
- @Moneytrees Oh, OK, perhaps I'd not fully appreciate that. Ta for the attempt at clarification! Nick Moyes (talk) 20:28, 31 March 2024 (UTC)

Potentially taking a break from this page
editTomorrow I'll be off on a holiday to London, Brussels, Amsterdam, and various parts of Germany. This page will be way down on my priority list so I may or may not get to it until/after I get back on 19 june. Same procedure as last time, more or less, but I still managed to fit it in to my schedule then, so we'll see what happens. As always any help during my semi-absence will be appreciated.
