Question

Can I ask a question about 3RR here? (if not let me know where I should be asking this and I'll delete it). If an editor adds content to a page, and the content does not violate WP policy, and it gets reverted by another editor (editor 2), can't editor 1 just "win" the war by making his 3rd revert right after editor 2 makes his 3rd revert? If editor 1 isn't changing anything already written, but just adding more, then can't he always win this war (I know it's not about winning, and it should go to dispute resolution). And what if editor 2 brings in a friend who then also reverts editor 1's addition, then I guess editor 1 would be fresh out of reverts? Capuchinpilates (talk) 04:03, 18 August 2015 (UTC)

There's more to edit-warring than just 3RR. If they're acting in bad faith then they should be reported at WP:ANEW regardless. But honestly at that point both parties have been behaving badly; why hasn't either one opened a discussion? DonIago (talk) 13:40, 18 August 2015 (UTC)
