Opinions seem to vary about this, and in my opinion MfD has is recent months been considerably more willing to delete hopeless drafts. I've nominated a number; about half have been deleted, half not. I'm not sure we have firm criteria at this point, and consensus seems to vary even more widely than usual at WP deletion process. DGG ( talk ) 05:35, 10 July 2021 (UTC)
- @DGG: can you give some examples of "hopeless" drafts that you nominated? These may be the
clearly inappropriate
ones that the essay talks about, but I don't know what kinds are these. Jay (talk) 17:31, 11 June 2022 (UTC) - As an update, now in 2023, we are starting to see more people cite WP:NDRAFT as a rationale to keep drafts, and we in fact just now had an MfD closed with the rationale "WP:SNOW and "WP:NDRAFT". MfD for when someone is resetting the G13 clock edit
Wikipedia:Drafts are not checked for notability or sanity#So when is MfD appropriate? #2 “The G13 clock is being reset through minor edits near the end of the six-month window, without substantial improvement”.
I propose to remove this. These cases are not welcome MfD cases. Better advice is for the person doing minor edits to Userfy the draft and strip the AfC tags. Refer WP:DUD. SmokeyJoe (talk) 20:25, 6 January 2023 (UTC)

What is G13? edit
