Same here (quite a lot of whitespace immediately underneath it, too, before the FA). I'm using SeaMonkey 1.1.8, if that's relevant. Anaxial (talk) 21:46, 8 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
Happens in Firefox 2.0 too. --Aqwis (talkcontributions) 09:51, 10 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Removing the border from the featured article

edit

It's a great idea! It helps give it more focus. futurebird (talk) 21:44, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

The border seems to be back... I guess that was just a mistake-- though I think you stumbled on to something. futurebird (talk) 23:35, 6 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thumbs Up!

edit

I really like this design. It has a certain professional look to it. Nice job. -[[Ryan]] (me) (talk) 01:21, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I like the design, but I think some sort of border or background color or something is needed for the sections, as they seem to just be "floating" there and it doesn't look very organized. It's hard to see at a glance where sections start and end. — FatalError 03:02, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fonts

edit

I don't like the heading fonts that are used here, but I do sort of like the abstract quality of going heading borderless. matt91486 (talk) 03:43, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

I agree with both aspects of this comment. The new font, is unlike anything else in the wiki-- although as this has evolved I must say I like the "light" look it has taken on a lot! futurebird (talk) 03:51, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I disagree. I feel like the seriffed font (Georgia, is it?) gives it a much more professional and encyclopedic look. --Secundus Zephyrus (talk) 06:05, 7 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
I like no font-family myself (let the reader choose). I have the same overlap BanyanTree mentions below, otherwise this sketch is wonderful for having no borders around everything. —SusanLesch (talk) 11:00, 8 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Borders

edit

The frames need borders so it will be easier to tell the sections apart. --Andrew from NC (talk) 00:03, 9 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the feedback!

Wow, I hadn't even bothered to look at the discussion page so far -- I've got quite a few more ideas, so the design will change a lot over the coming weeks. Tlogmer ( talk / contributions ) 11:38, 13 July 2008 (UTC)Reply
