Wikipedia:Workshop/Mumbai Workshop 1

GLAM Creative Commons Workshop Mumbai 1 will include a talk on Creative Commons (India) Licensing by Shri Shishir Kumar Jha (Profile). Shri Jha is the project lead with Creative Commons India and Assistant Professor with Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT-B). There will be an interactive session that will follow.

The event will be the First Ever WikiProject GLAM event in Asia.

Summary edit

The Wikipedia Workshop is a short-duration event where participants are introduced to the basics of Wikipedia. This particular Workshop aims to address questions related to the Creative Commons license in use on Wikipedia and sister projects. It also aims to particularly target the Galleries, Libraries, Archive and Museum (called GLAM in wikispeak) institutions in understanding the Creative Commons license.

  • Wikipedians who are interested in understanding the Creative Commons licenses.
  • Members of Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums (GLAM) institutions.
  • Others who are interested in understanding the Creative Commons licenses.

Note: Attendance is free with seating on first come first served basis. We suggest that those interested in attending sign up below to give us an idea of how many people to expect, however do come along if you wish to attend and have not been able to sign up before coming.

  • Bandra (West) is the nearest station on the Western Line and Central (Harbour) Line, a 10 minute walk from the venue.
  • By bus, you have to alight at National College bus stop at Linking Road, Bandra.
