This course examines the causes of language endangerment and some methods of language revitalization. We will examine some case studies of languages facing varying degrees of endangerment, and compare the different outcomes of revitalization efforts. Other issues we'll examine include the connection between language and thought, language attitudes, and bilingual education.

  • Make sure you enroll in this course page! 
  • Begin the training modules assigned for your course. During this training, you will make edits in a sandbox and learn the basic rules of Wikipedia.
  • Review a few Wikipedia articles that you think you might work on and assign them to yourself in the students tab above.
