How have artists dealt with issues such as war, Black Lives Matter, gender discrimination, immigration, the environment, the mental health crisis? We’ll discuss these and other issues. 3 credits. I will be assigning a research and write content for Wikipedia assignment for my seminar on contemporary art. The focus of the course is on activist art around social & political issues such as the pandemic, war in Ukraine, the mental health crisis, race, gender, identity, the environment, immigration, etc.
