The Tornado Tribune is the semi-regular newsletter of WikiProject Severe weather. The newsletter aims to summarize recent developments and activities in the WikiProject, in addition to detail the upcoming severe weather season. The Tornado Tribune has been running since its revival in May 2021, although the first issue was published in February 2008. If you wish to receive or discontinue your subscription to this newsletter, please visit the mailing list. This issue of The Tornado Tribune covers all project-related events from March 2008–May 14, 2021. This edition's authors and editors are MarioJump83 and HurricaneCovid. Project news and developments

  • On February 7, as I began to ramp up the revival of WikiProject Non-tropical storms, I have discovered this defunct newsletter. It was quite surprising given that this WikiProject is the least influenced by WPTC in any WikiProject Meteorology daughter WikiProjects. Despite this, I decided to revive this newsletter alongside The Frozen Times on February 8, with the plans of publishing the newsletter on May 15 to be published just before the third issue of The Frozen Times.
  • Shortly after reviving the newsletter, I also introduced the barnstar for this WikiProject, named The Tornado Barnstar. It is based on The Meteorology Barnstar concept by Inks.LWC that never got out of the way. The concept was eventually re-used for the Tornado Barnstar instead.

New project articles
The number of new articles since the last issue are innumerable, so they cannot be shown in this newsletter.

Name of newsletter edit

I have first chosen The Storming News over The Tornado Tribune due to my problems choosing The Tornado Times (the name of Hoover High School (Glendale) newspaper) and my concerns with the name being too similar to the The Tornado Times. However, thanks to HurricaneCovid, I can say that I got over it now, and will be used for future issues of this newsletter. MarioJump83! 23:51, 9 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
