This project is intended to create accurate and dependable articles on the Monilophytes and the Lycophytes.
Principles include:
- Adherence to cladistic principles
- Titling of pages according to scientific, not common, names
- Using classification categories at the lowest reasonable level (using family rather than genus categories for species in very small genera)
- Maintaining central alphabetical lists of species: Category:Fern species and Category:Lycophyte species
- Directing categories to appropriate florae
