In Draft edit

Drafts of these articles have been started, but the articles are incomplete. They may be missing coverage of substantial history. They maybe missing infoboxes. They may need a rewrite to make them more than a sequence of "timeline sentences".

If you are new to the project, start here. Click the blue "Draft" link. Jump in and build up some experience making edits on these articles. Build an infobox, add a citation, combine two sentences with a subordinating clause. This is your space to gain experience and credibility before creating new articles.

When these are in a good enough state, we'll move them to mainspace -- but because the first few hours of an article's life are touch and go, ask a more experienced user to move the article and keep an eye on it. You can make the request by adding a note on this talk page or asking for help in the NOW slack channel.

Not Started or Started with Notes Only edit

These articles have not been started. We encourage you so start one by clicking the "Draft" link at the end. If you are a newbie we encourage you to first engage with some drafts (above) to build a bit of experience and learn some basic constructs.

Before starting, please use the "wiki" link to make sure the page does not already exist under a different name. If you find it under a slightly different name, alter the link here to match the name in mainspace, and remove the link to create a draft (or ask for help to do this). Then move it to "Completed or Found". Alternatively, if you get a bit into research and realize the page may have notability problems, move it to that section.

When you have made substantial progress on the page (more than just notes and links), move it to the "Started" section, and consider inviting others through email, Twitter, or Slack to contribute. Watch this page to see new updates in status of pages.

May Not Be Notable edit

For various reasons these papers may have notablity problems. They may be relatively recent, or not cover much hard news outside of community events and local sports. They may consist of primarily advertising and sponsored bits about new business openings. And in many cases they may be good papers that just haven't generated much coverage by others.

You're encouraged to try to write pages on these articles -- just be aware it might be a bit harder than usual, and that the page should be fairly bulletproof before posting to mainspace.
