Welcome! Welcome to WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state). We are a group dedicated to improving Wikipedia's coverage of articles related to the U.S. state of Georgia. Goals The goal of this WikiProject is to provide complete coverage on subjects related to Georgia, by expanding articles on people, places, and things related to Georgia. Scope This project proposes to work with all pages related to the state of Georgia, its history, geography, and people. These articles should all be included in the Category:Georgia (U.S. state) or one of its subcategories. Guidelines Articles stemming from Wikiproject Georgia are not exempt from Wikipedia deletion policies. Any article may be included in Wikiproject Georgia that is Notable, Verifiable by reliable sources. Compliant with every aspect of WP:NOT. They should also follow the guidelines of the appropriate Wikipedia:Manual of Style, where appropriate. Images WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state) uses Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Georgia (U.S. state) to monitor all Georgia articles needing images. In addition, Wikipedian photographers living in Georgia use the subcategories at Category:Wikipedia requested photographs in Georgia (U.S. state) to locate those subjects near where they typically take photographs. The "imageneeded=" and "in=" parameters of {{WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state)}} populate these categories. To request an image for an article, use the "imageneeded=yes" parameter in the {{WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state)}} article talk page template. Please use the "in=" parameter in the {{WikiProject Georgia (U.S. state)}} template to specify the Georgia county where the photograph may be taken. The advantages of establishing a new group as a task force or work group within an existing project are that generally, task forces require fewer members to be effective and do not have the same degree of required project maintenance, as much of that is taken on by the parent project.
