The resulting WikiProject was created at Wikipedia:WikiProject Adoption, fostering, orphan care and displacement

Description edit

Actors at the Anne of Green Gables Museum on Prince Edward Island, Canada. Since its first publication in 1908, the story of the orphaned Anne, and how the Cuthberts took her in, has been widely popular in the English-speaking world and, later, Japan, affecting the public perception of both orphans and adoption.

To cover articles associated with adoption and child abandonment, a fragmented group. Scope of project:

  1. Causes of child abandonment and bereavement (articles on foundlings, orphans, and child abandonment).
  2. Ways of assisting orphans and foundlings (articles on Adoption, Foster Care, Orphanages, etc.)

I sure think it does. Most adoptees are either orphans or foundlings (in some sense) before getting adopted.Tobit2 (talk) 03:44, 3 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
