Hey guys, just thought I'd check in to see if this page could be reviewed. It's been a couple of months now. Totally get that you have a large backlog though. Thank you. Annamaria.dmrt (talk) 01:00, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm having a hard time getting this page through revision. I have created this page for my father, who is the person the page is about, on his request. He is an artist, obviously not very well known, and there are therefore not many sources to cite besides his webpage (https://vereldan.com/). Could you please tell me exactly what to do to get this page published? Thanks! Astroannamc (talk) 11:17, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry to say that your father does not appear to be notable in Wikipedia terms. Wikipedia is only interested in what people who have no connection with the subject, and who have not been prompted or fed information on behalf of the subject, have chosen to publish about the subject in reliable sources. Live Law is the biggest law based news publisher in India. It is widely used by Law schools, lawyers and judges on day to day basis in India. This article from scroll.in explains in detail about Live law.

Please find below the userbase Live Law has:

  • Mentioned in the autobiography of Ranjan Gogoi, former chief Indian Judge of the Supreme Court of India
  • 1000+ backlinks
  • It has 4M+ unique visitors every month
  • Half a million Twitter followers
  • 275K Facebook followers
  • 200K Instagram followers

We understand that other media coverage and references about live law is not that much but getting coverage of a news agency by another agency is very hard. Live law does have backlinks on other secondary sources but those don't count. It is a platform widely used by a very big law community in India and in my opinion, reviewers should check out the website and rethink if it deserves an article on Wikipedia.

Hi, my recent article was reviewed & rejected due to not having independent sources, however, the sources used are some of the biggest news publications and TV programmes in the UK. Would it be possible to have this re-reviewed, perhaps by somebody who understands the calibre of sources that I've provided within the UK market.

TedLawlor (talk) 12:54, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Lets start with please see WP:COI, WP:PAID.
Follow up reading: WP:REFBOMB & WP:PROMO
Finally, please identify here or in the draft comments WP:THREE sources that you believe show the subject to be notable and keep in mind that passing mention in a gossip column is not significant coverage. Slywriter (talk) 14:55, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
TedLawlor ignore this line just a ping msg. Slywriter (talk) 14:56, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, as requested by Slywriter, here are the links that show Robert Hisee is a notable figure in the UK and has dedicated articles written about him and his work.

TV appearance, Best Selling Book and dedicated articles: https://www.manifestationjournal.co.uk/press

Article about Robert's hypnotherapy work: https://www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/5472754/football-legend-paul-gascoigne-follows-in-gemma-collins-footsteps-and-books-in-with-celebrity-hypnotherapist-to-help-cure-anxiety/

Article about Robert Hisee's online show: https://closeronline.co.uk/celebrity/news/towie-lauren-goodger-crying/

Please note, I have added over 40 sources in the draft showing Robert's notability, including the ISBN for his best-selling book — Preceding unsigned comment added by TedLawlor (talkcontribs) 20:01, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

per Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources The Sun was deprecated in the 2019 RfC. There is consensus that The Sun is generally unreliable.Theroadislong (talk) 20:47, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, how about the other sources? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.21.202.204 (talk) 14:27, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Interviews and articles about others that happen to mention the subject do not count towards notability. Slywriter (talk) 14:34, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, what about the following TV appearance and news articles that are solely focused on Robert's hypnotherapy work or his online show. He's also a best-selling author.

@TedLawlor you need to address the question asked above and on your talk page about whether you are paid to edit here.
Please address this on your talk page. It is a formal enquiry and must be answered FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 20:30, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Once you have addressed that, this is what we need: For a living person we have a high standard of referencing. Every substantive fact you assert, especially one that is susceptible to potential challenge, requires a citation with a reference that is about them, and is independent of them, in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS, and is significant coverage. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources. Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact cited, that meet these tough criteria is likely to make this draft a clear acceptance (0.9 probability). Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the person is not suitable for inclusion, certainly today.
Please do not feed us lists of possible reference material and ask us to do all the heavy lifting. If you want this draft to be accepted then the heavy lifting is down to you. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 20:34, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My draft had several scholarly sources, but was declined for not having enough reliable sources. I'm wondering which sections in particular need better sourcing and substantiation. Zfirelight (talk) 20:41, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I would like to improve my submission by adding some more information before review based on a few more sources since the draft is a stub. I have already submitted an edit request and got a suggestion to post my request here. Here are the sources and to me they look reliable and independent: This[1] is related to deepening the Strasberg Method by the subject and it comes from Rivista del cinematografo [it] which seems secondary and reliable, this[2] is a printed source related also to Method acting published by Dino Audino Editore [it] which looks reputable showing the fact that the subject is an expert on this topic. This[3] and this[4] looks also independent and published by sources such as Comingsoon.it [it] and Mymovies.it with a reputation for fact-checking and accuracy covering the subject in depth. Not sure what has been going on with this article but the subject looks notable to me according to Wikipedia standards. Is there anyone who could please clarify if these sources and the ones that I have already added to the draft are reliable? Thanks--Submarine00 (talk) 21:37, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Wikipedia, My article Submission about Eduard Grossman was declined due to not adequately supported by reliable sources. Unfortunately the information about Eduard Grossman in the internet is very limited and I cant provide information based on internet sources through cites and references. Most of the information is on newspapers, catalogues and articles. Where can i upload information about him in order to be verified. .

Thank you, looking forward for your reply

84.15.189.125 (talk) 21:39, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

You don't need to - though I should note we don't "verify" anything. We accept citations to offline sources, provided enough bibliographical information is provided to look the source up in a library or archive. We also have citation templates specifically for the purpose - {{cite news}}, {{cite magazine}}, {{cite book}} to name a few. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Jéské Couriano 22:57, 10 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
