Request on 04:51:30, 4 July 2019 for assistance on AfC submission by Mercer5089

edit

I resubmitted the article with an additional citation. I'm unsure how to make the paper map verifiable, but the new citation contains the correct information and includes a digital map. Please let me know if I need to add additional citations, and thanks for your help.

To whom it may concern,

Months ago, i added an album from the band The Atomic Bitchwax, and I was sent a message, "Stub created, hope that helps. All the best.": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravitron_(album)

i am now trying to add an album from the band Madball, and it is being rejected. I don't understand why? Is it because I tried to create a page (a standalone article) instead of a "stub"? Or it is something else?

Could some one give me some advice. :-)

Thanks

Ross

I need to publish an article on madras west round table india.I need to know on what criteria does a web site be provided for citations and notablity? Shalini suresh mwrt (talk) 06:38, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Shalini suresh mwrt: Your question is unclear. There is a notability guideline for websites, Wikipedia:Notability (web), but Draft:Madras_West_Round_Table_10 is an organization, so Wikipedia:Notability (organizations and companies) applies to it. Press releases from the organization, such as [1], do not prove notability.
If English is not your first language, you may be more comfortable writing for another language variant of Wikipedia, such as Hindi, Tamil, or one of the many other languages of South Asia. See meta:List of Wikipedias for a complete list of choices. --Worldbruce (talk) 23:37, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a reliable source that backs up information on Cierra Cinti's early life and career. The source is from a published magazine, called Tyler Neighbors South. Cinti covered the magazine and a full article was written about her music career. This article is cited as reference 2. I feel this new reference should be enough to satisfy the necessity of an outside publishing of a musician. Marshmallowmabel (talk) 08:55, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I see an article for Psysex was rejected before because it was not notable enough (the person who uploaded it did not put any references in the past). I fixed the article for Psysex, adding reference links and taking out some lines that seemed subjective. I belive the article is now objective and referenced correctly. Can you review it again? why is it still declined? EgohunterRecordings (talk) 11:24, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am requesting a re-review because we believe this article is relevant based on evidence from the official Explorer's Grand Slam page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Explorers_Grand_Slam#cite_note-pancoe-43 Alex is #49 on the official list of individuals who have completed this challenge. Pancoe is the first brain tumor survivor to complete the grand slam.

edit

I am requesting a re-review as I now have made many changes to the article, added prominent information and used strong sources of information. Axsli (talk) 15:15, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Axsli: I concur with the first reviewer. The draft fails to demonstrate that the subject is notable. Furthermore, my own searches found only non-independent primary source interviews (such as https://www.va.se/nyheter/2013/05/18/att-bygga-ett-foretag-handlar-om-svett/) and brief mentions as sources of quotes, no significant coverage in independent, reliable, secondary sources. The topic is unsuitable for Wikipedia, and no amount of editing can fix it. --Worldbruce (talk) 10:51, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I not really sure what other soruces you would need. The Book was publisjed last year on Amazon and only sold 4 Paperback version and 1 Ebook version the 4 Paperbacks were by me. And I have no idea who bought the ebook version I suspect it was a family member but they never said if they did or not.

Not sure what you meen about the book. It starts out with Chapter 0 which talks about my self a little bit then Chapter 1 though 10 is the main story. Bonus chapter is the orignal story I started writing, then it has character bios its less then 100 pages long.

Book 2 which I am currently working on I plan on the same number of chapters but will be longer and will include conspect art I did.

I plan on marketing the entire series though many Self publishing sites as well as I am thinking of having other items made. such as tee shirts, playing cards. But I am witing to see if book sales go up.

as for review the person who bought the ebook version never gave a review and smashword I just placed it a few days ago so I not yet sold any copies. I only created the wikiapedia page because some one told me it would help promote the book more.

some one said that because of how rare the 4 Paperback books currently are that a Wikipedia page would help drive up sales but they just became more rare the other day. 1 is a Proof copy that says Not For Sale on it. It is a smaller version then the others. the 3 Author Editions were printed before the cover was fixed (when it was first printed Amazon used one of their covers because my cover would not fit) so they are the only 3 in existance with the Amazon General Cover. 1 of which is signed by me. 2 as given to a friend with out my signature, 1 was given to a friend in prison with my signature and the 3rd I still have and I plan on signing it toon

I as you can tell I have a gammer issue. I have a nerlogical/learning disorder to the brain Its why the book to me 6 years to write because I had to keep going back and fixing my grammer, and spelling I even end up using a program to help fix the grammer. I kept the book partly a secret from my family they knew I was writing it but they had no idea I had it published till after I had it published.

Any Advice would be grearful Jawsisra84 (talk) 15:52, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry, but Wikipedia is not here to publicize your book. It is clear from the draft, as well as from this notice, that this is not a notable work, and I have deleted the draft as blatant advertising. If you want to publicize your book, you will need to find a webhost and set up your own page for that purpose. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:00, 6 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sources 2 and 3 of my page were videos that had info from interviews with the person in question and therefore do count as credible sources. I can see why you would be confused at first glance and if needed, I will removed them from the page. However as they're right now, I do believe that these count as credible sources.

Best regards, Redben12 Redben12 (talk) 20:25, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Interviews are of little use, Wikipedia has no interest in what the articles subject says about himself, only what reliable sources have reported and YouTube is not considered a reliable source. Theroadislong (talk) 20:30, 4 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I see. I will remove the sources and resubmit for review. I had no knowledge of this rule and will fix the issue as soon as possible.
