Hello,

I have resubmitted an article: Technology Hub Juarez (first submitted two months ago). The writing has been shortened. edited and cut for neutrally. I am keen to know whether I have made a worthy contribution to wiki.

Good Afternoon- a new and extremely short and straight forward new draft was just submitted of Technology Hub Ciudad Juarez. I am expect it is now (or close) to being a worthy wiki contribution.

A reviewer has said that the page I am trying to post does not have sufficient secondary sources, can this be more clearly explained. Because I have seen pages about similar companies as the one I am writing about with less sources or same amount of sources as I have provided. So I would just like some clarification on what exactly is missing so that the page can be pushed forward to be published. Thanks.

Sylviahoikka (talk) 09:56, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sylviahoikka see WP:CORPDEPTH. For a company to be notable, it must have multiple pieces of indepth coverage. There does not appear to be enough indepth coverage on the company for notability, and No amount of editing can overcome a lack of notability. However you can continue looking for indepth coverage for notability. There are many articles on companies on wikipedia that need to be deleted; that there are other articles that are worse doesn't mean this article meets standards for acceptance. 10:10:07, 24 September 2018 review of draft by Setec (musical artist)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Setec_(musical_artist)/sandbox

I submitted the above page for review earlier today, in the interests of creating a public article. When I created an account I chose the username "Setec (musical artist)", because there was seemingly no other way to use this as the name of the article.

My submission was rejected very quickly, by Frayae, with the message "Don't write about yourself" and a link to Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest policy.

I was not writing about myself. I am not Setec. I provided several reputable secondary sources. I object to this unnecessarily quick rejection and the reasons provided for it. I put a lot of work into this submission and resent the misguided and condescending manner in which I was rejected. I will state again: I was not writing about myself.

I have not found any avenue of complaint or right of reply apart from this page I am currently writing on. A response as soon as possible from a Wikipedia representative would be greatly appreciated, as would a review of my rejection and a reconsideration of my submission, which falls comfortably within all Wikipedia's guidelines.

Thank you, Alexander — Preceding unsigned comment added by Setec (musical artist) (talkcontribs) 10:01, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I have added two paragraphs including two sources: footnotes 6 and 9: an interview with The Baltimore Sun (newspaper) and an excerpt from a book that studies the Hare Krishna movement. As the subject (Mahanidhi Swami) does not travel from the village in which he lives, he might not attract so much publicity from different sources. Nevertheless, his influence and the importance of his contribution through his books and lectures, made him one of the authorities for those interested in Gaudiya Vaishnavism. This can be proven by the book sales, the traffic on his website and views on SoundCloud. Muukifar (talk) 18:00, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • You need to add many more references from newspapers, and be aware that a reviewer will not consider sources such as Soundcloud, his website, or his publishers book sales statistics. This is because they are considered to be primary sources, you can read WP:RS for more information. 18:43, 24 September 2018 (UTC)

18:31:04, 24 September 2018 review of draft by Cvizents

Hello, I have requested a un-deletion of a page that I was originally trying to publish a year ago Shanlon Wu. While I was waiting on a verdict I was lead to believe I could work on another draft of it in my User profile that would not affect anything because it was separate. It has already been flagged for not being noteable, which I am working on. I thought my User space was a place I was able to continue editing without fear of deletion?

What should I do? Should I delete everything and start over?

Cvizents (talk) 18:31, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • If you submit a userpage which appears to be a duplicate of a draft it complicates matters. You can safely work on a userspace page, but you should when finished update the draft and submit the draft. If you submit the userspace page as you did, then reviewers will treat it as a duplicate draft because that's what it then is. You should in future be submitting Draft:Shanlon Wu. — Frayæ (Talk/Spjall) 18:39, 24 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
