30 December 2016 review of submission by David Colquhoun

I can't understand why my draft submission for a page for Jennifer Raff seems to have been rejected again https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Jennifer_Raff I would have thought that my revision documented adequately her eligibility under criterion 7 David Colquhoun (talk) 09:11, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, David. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. The best source of information as to why your submission was declined will be the reviewers who have already looked at it. You can find their names and Talk page buttons at the top of your draft. But I doubt that their reasons will be much different than the ones that were already given by the non-reviewer who left lengthy comments on the draft. I also note that you have given most of your references in the form of "bare URL's", which forces readers to leave Wikipedia if they want to learn essential bibliographic detail such as who wrote an article and when it was published. This runs afoul of our requirements at WP:CITE and also makes it difficult for a reviewer to assess the quality of those sources. You might want to format your references using the various citation templates, such as {{cite web}} or {{cite journal}}. I hope this response has been helpful. Pangsitgoreng (talk) 11:09, 31 December 2016 (UTC) How do I upload the 6 figures I have prepared, or can you do it for me at the appropriate places, if I send you the figures ?[reply]

Hello, Pangsitgoreng. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. The process for uploading images can be complex and you might want to read WP:Uploading images, which will provide some guidance on the process. Also, I've left a comment regarding the submission itself on the Draft page. NewYorkActuary (talk) 19:46, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

15:21:12, 31 December 2016 review of submission by Vicpaz

Hello, I've just made my first contribution to Wikipedia about a musician I admire and that's present in the web but not on Wikipedia , Vicpaz (talk) 15:21, 31 December 2016 (UTC)Danield Diaz (Musician). The reasons I did this is because his profile on Spotify (where I follow him) and other services I checked out (deezer, applemusic) show his albums mixed with other musicians, homonyms, that make techno/house music, completely unrelated to this artists acoustic-world-soundtrack. I've been pointed that the references don't show notability etc, but at the same time, searching for relative artists to Daniel Diaz I've found Argentinian Juan del Barrio who does have a Wikipedia page but no references at all! Can you pleas eexplain that? Daniel Diaz released his first album in the USA and had an international career, Juan Del Barrio has been active exclusively in Argentina, thus a Wiki in Spanish could make sense, but English?[reply]

Any help about how to sort this and get the artists referenced in Wikipedia would be appreciated. Otherwise I wont spend much time (I see why the artists or hiw managers didn't try to add him to Wikipedia.) it's very time consuming an dI'll rather use it to expand sections in English about musicians from Argentina already present.

Thanks in advance and let me wish you an excellent 2017

Hello, Vic. Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia. There are two separate issues here. The lack of references at the Juan del Barrio article makes it liable to be deleted, regardless of whether or not Del Barrio is a notable musician. In the case of your draft, the reviewer is not questioning the existence of your references, but whether they demonstrate that the subject is "notable" in the sense that Wikipedia uses the word. If you have not done so already, you might want to contact that reviewer at their Talk page for more detail about their decision (you'll find the name and Talk page button of that reviewer at the top of your draft). I also note that you have given your references in the form of "bare URL's", which forces readers to leave Wikipedia if they want to learn essential bibliographic detail such as who wrote the article and when it was published. This runs afoul of our requirements at WP:CITE and also makes it difficult for a reviewer to assess the quality of those sources. You might want to format your references using the {{cite web}} template. Finally, I note that you make several uses of the discogs.com website, which is user-generated and, therefore, is not considered a reliable source. I hope this response has been helpful.
