Please, this is like the 7th time my article is being rejected by wikipedia, i want to know what, where and how i went wrong and try to fix it

thanks https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Lambert_Ofoegbu#Lambert_Ofoegbu_article_for_review Stunnerggg (talk) 00:48, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You say that this is the seventh time your article has been rejected. You have only submitted it to AFC review once. Maybe you submitted it into article space repeatedly and it was deleted. In any case, the references are all at the end of the article. A biography of a living person needs in-line citations, in the body of the article with links to the list of references at the end. See the instructions at referencing for beginners and try to add footnotes before resubmitting the draft. Robert McClenon (talk) 12:55, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

SHAHRUKH KHAN BALOUT (talk) 09:40, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@SHAHRUKH KHAN BALOUT: Hello, and welcome to the Help Desk. What is your specific question about User:SHAHRUKH KHAN BALOUT/sandbox? Note that you have not yet submitted it for review. (For your information, to submit a draft for review, you can add {{subst:submit}} to the top of the draft, including the braces. You'll know you've done it right if you save the page and see a big yellow box with "Review waiting" at the top.)
In this case, however, I would suggest that the Centre for Management Studies is probably not suitable for its own Wikipedia article. University departments are often not sufficiently "notable" for standalone articles. Note that the Centre is already discussed in detail at Jamia Millia Islamia#Centre for Management Studies. You are welcome to contribute well-referenced and neutrally-written text to that existing article. Thank you, /wiae /tlk 12:47, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I take exception to what User:Wiae says in one respect. The draft was submitted to AFC for review three times and declined three times. Robert McClenon (talk) 12:50, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Is there an article about the university? If not, maybe there should be. Robert McClenon (talk) 12:51, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, I just noticed this and have replaced the previous decline messages. Having seen this, my advice is that repeatedly resubmitting the draft is an exercise in futility. No amount of editing or resubmission can overcome the fundamental problem with the draft; namely, that it is just not suitable for its own article. /wiae /tlk 12:52, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Does the original poster have an association with the department? If so, read the conflict of interest guideline. The paid editing policy may also be applicable. Robert McClenon (talk) 13:33, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I'm a Musical Artist, in Telugu christian industry from India. I'm currently doing musical albums on christian contemporary music. I want to post my bio as an article on wikipedia to promote my music across India. so I want your help to improve my article and bring it to the public. This would help me as a boost to publish my music as I have popularity in Youtube, I want to make my space in Wiki also. This would help me. Thank you.

Wikipedia is not to be used to promote your career. Also, it's really discouraged to create an autobiographical article. You would need to have independent reliable sources showing how you meet our guidelines for notability. RickinBaltimore (talk) 13:19, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Wikipedia,

I am unable to upload any further images to our article demonstrating an original Patent from 1859 and a photo of our Manaufacturing premises.

I receive the following error message

{{autotranslate|base=Abusefilter-warning-baduploads}}

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

Kind regards

Hello,

Do you think to have my article reviewed positively I should focus more on finding more third party, non-biased sources, or do you have suggestions on fixing the language?

JDoober (talk) 15:15, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Both would be desirable. Also, the current references are not formatted well. Please see Referencing for Beginners. If you still have difficulty with them (they appear to be listed twice), ask for help. Also find more neutral sources and make the language more neutral. What exactly are you asking for? Are you asking to have an article written? Robert McClenon (talk) 20:43, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for assistance. I'm new to Wikipedia editing and not experienced with the editing functions and process. Can you please instruct me how to completely delete a draft article that I wrote?

Reason for the request: I have mistakenly submitted two drafts of the same article for review. The review could not proceed due to the existence of two drafts of the same article. My goal is to delete one draft article, and subsequently submit the other draft article for review.

Thank you for your time and cooperation.

Dagumpf (talk) 19:31, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Which version do you want deleted, and which version do you want reviewed? If you tell us which version you want deleted, one of us can tag it for deletion. As it is, you should find more independent third-party reliable sources, and rework the language so as not to be promotional. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:50, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Could you please tell me in more detail why my submission Burmese American Community Institute (BACI) was declined? I used a variety of independent news sources and articles as references. Thank you! Kjshaw (talk) 20:08, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Kjshaw: Please see Draft:Burmese American Community Institute (BACI), it contains the reason for having been declined in the infobox on top. --Fëanor (talk) 20:50, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Your draft was declined for tone reasons, not for notability reasons. The reviewer's concern was that the language is not neutral. The issue wasn't with the sources. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:52, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
However, there are also formatting problems. The footnotes do not display the references. See Referencing for Beginners. The headings should be marked up with WP:Markup rather than just with bold face, so as to provide a Table of Contents. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:55, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I submitted an article and they replied "Needs to be formatted and references moved inline". I have no idea what that means and was wondering if someone can help me with that.Cllgbksr (talk) Cllgbksr (talk) 20:25, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

An inline reference is a reference in the form of a footnote. Please see Wikipedia:Citing_sources for a detailed explanation. You also need to format the heading in the page. Awards and honors, for example, needs to be placed between two sets of double equal signs, like this:
== Awards and honors ==
if you are editing the source, or formatted as Heading (in stead of Paragrpah) if you are using the Visual Editor. Mduvekot (talk) 20:38, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The draft in question is Draft:Wayne Dupree. Also, Youtube is not a reliable source. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:57, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
and frankly, neither are Breitbart, Citizens for Trump, the Queens Village Republican Club, the Lid, the Frugal Cafe Blog Zone, the American Conservative Union, Twitchy or twitter, or Dupree himself. Please have a look at WP:IS and WP:RS. Good luck finding better sources. Mduvekot (talk) 21:19, 4 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
