Because Tyree is a new up-coming artist.

@TyreeBridges: Hello, and welcome to the Help Desk. There are a few issues with the draft as it stands:
  1. there are two versions of the draft. In general it's best to work on only one version to keep things straight.
  2. the draft appears to be an autobiography. Writing about oneself is strongly discouraged on Wikipedia, and please be aware of Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy.
  3. many of the sources cited are not reliable ones, and YouTube and iTunes links do not offer any substantive, in-depth discussion of the subject, so they cannot help demonstrate whether he is a notable musician. Please find and add a variety of reliable, independent (third-party) sources that discuss the subject in significant detail. If such sources do not exist, then the subject is likely not notable at this time.

I've uploaded photos and created a gallery. It worked for a while but now, the files are gone and I cannot upload them again. What should I do?

Wodnikprasowy (talk) 10:19, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Wodnikprasowy: Commons:File:Austria Sailors ID logbook.jpg is an example of a file that was uploaded with inappropriate permissions /licencing. If you have a licence to upload a file or are the copyright owner and will licence it for full reuse then they may be uploaded again The message at commons is as follows: "00:56, 8 December 2015 Alan (talk | contribs) deleted page File:Austria Sailors ID logbook.jpg (Copyright violation; see Commons:Licensing, Precautionary principle and Commons:OTRS - Using VisualFileChange.) (global usage; delinker log)" and the admin who deleted it is an admin on Commons, where they will be happy to answer your questions
Wikimedia Commons is a separate project from the English Language Wikipedia, and allows files to be used here transparently. Fiddle Faddle 14:05, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Timtrent: Thank you for your answer. I do have the rights and I did granted the license. There is an information about that on the submission page "An email containing details of the permission for this text has been sent in accordance with WP:OTRS." Why the pictures were deleted than? And what more do I have to do to restore them?

Wodnikprasowy (talk) 15:00, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Wodnikprasowy: You uploaded the pictures to Commons. There is a separate process there because it is a separate project. Each file you have permission to upload must be tagged with the approval, and must be logged in that manner.
What you have to do to restore them is to contact, on Commons, the admin on Commons who performed the deletion. Follow the link to Commons in my first message to you nd take it from there. I am sorry the process is arcane, but we and Commons take copyright issues very seriously and do out best to make it very hard to be in breach of someone's copyright. Hello. The main problem is that in Commons isn't allowed fair use material. Deleted image it is copyrighted by the ISSA and it is considered a copyright violation. Regards, --Alan (talk) 15:22, 23 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
