April 10

edit

I have been working on the entry Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/34 for 40 Trans-Americas Ride, and have apparently resolved all the editors' issues except for a request for additional inline citations. Since this is my first from-scratch entry, I'm a bit unsure as to where they still want me to cite sources. I've got the hang of the tagging, so all I really need is some guidance as to what needs to be cited in the draft so that the article can finally be accepted.

Thanks in advance for your help --

To be honest, I'm not sure what they want either. Inline citations are mandatory for anything controversial and likely to be challenged, for sensitive personal information, or anything that is in "quotes". Nothing leaps from your article at me that screams for an inline citation. However, bear in mind that if your article is accepted it will be cleaned up - for example, the 'external links' section is not there for you to congratulate and advertise the sponsors; you shouldn't be listing Gerulski's email address either.
Personally I would not accept the article at this stage because none of your news sources actually mention "34 for 40 Trans-Americas Ride". It is questionable whether the ride is a sufficiently notable event. Sionk (talk) 01:15, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

How to upload from articles for creation.

edit

I have completed (I think) an article (draft name: Mark Pope, Ed.D.) in my articles for creation. I can not understand how to upload it for review or for final placement in wikipedia. The instructions on the website are very difficult to understand, and people have entered comments on what to do in Talk, but without instructions on how to proceed. So I think I have the article done and I don't know what to do. I need detailed instructions. I've spent many hours trying to figure this out.

wikipedia talk: Articles for Creation/Mark Pope, Ed.D.

I'm not even sure how to access a response to this request!!

Hello,

I was wondering if you could give specifics on why this article Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Ken Scrubbswas rejected the last time. The evidence of the noteworthiness of this person is evident through the many service awards that he has won. I added some more sources to evidence the awards. I have read many other articles just to get a feel as to what you are looking for, and I must say that I have yet to run across one with such a notable person receiving so many awards in the field of education and mentoring. Please allow me the chance to find out where I am missing something. My references point to scholarly sources +50% of the time. Am I just not coding correctly?

Thanks for your help and this great service. Mthaney4 (talk) 17:16, 10 April 2012 (UTC)Mthaney4[reply]

Declined for copyright reasons, although he does appear notable. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 15:30, 12 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I don't understand why my article isn't being accepted. Its a huge and notable website that's currently in the news. I provided 4 distinct media sources on top of other references.

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/PutLocker

The site is the 370th biggest one in the world.

Accepted, although notability is still a little iffy and I would encourage you to find more sources. Nolelover Talk·Contribs 20:55, 11 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
