We only have navboxes like this for major tournaments, not annual tours, otherwise we would have dozens of navboxes for teams every single year. There is nothing especially notable about the 1993 Japan touring squad or the 1988/1994 Samoa touring squads. – PeeJay 12:21, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete all Unnecessary squad navboxes, we only really need them for Rugby World Cups and Olympic Sevens tournaments. These are just overkill. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 08:59, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • delete, overkill. Frietjes (talk) 15:06, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

We don't have templates like these for any other nation. National team squads are temporary in nature, coming together only for specific tournaments or sets of games before disbanding again. Some players may be centrally contracted to their national rugby union, but this isn't the case for all of them and this also isn't what these navboxes are reflecting, especially in the case of the sevens squad. – PeeJay 12:07, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete both These were the work of MightyPeanut and were fine when he was regularly editing. However he no longer edits and these templates haven't been maintained, and there is no other real full-time SA rugby editor to keep up with them and so they are out of date. We don't keep them for other international nations as the Nom has said so I see no reason why we need them. Rugbyfan22 (talk) 09:01, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
