Propose merging Template:Cathedrals of the Catholic Church in the United Kingdom and Ireland with Template:Catholic Bishops and Archbishops in England and Wales, Template:Cathedrals of the Catholic Church in Ireland, and Template:Catholic seminaries in Scotland (rebuilt).

  • Oppose Sorry, this doesn't make any sense. Merging cathedrals in the UK and Ireland seems logical, but then add bishops on top of that, and then add the Scottish seminaries? - most of which no longer exist. This is absurd. Did you look at the the Scottish seminaries template before nominating it for merger? There's no overlap whatsoever; no mention of bishops or cathedrals.   • Oppose. Every diocese has at least 4 associated articles with it: the diocese itself, the list of its bishops, the current bishop and its cathedral - and that's not to mention all of its churches, schools, colleges, shrines, communities etc. As per above, the original nomination was for all of this to be put onto one template, making it very difficult to navigate. After all Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia, and such a bloated template would generalise and overly simplify, not explain the complexity of the world.   • Merge, Delete the Chaplaincies template, just get rid of it. The exarchate no longer exists, of all the airport chaplaincies only Heathrow's has its own article, it's interdenominational and mentions the Catholic Church only a couple of times, leaving only the Bishopric of the Forces which features in all the other templates anyway.
