Wikipedia:Teahouse/Invitation/doc

This template is an invitation to join the WP:Teahouse as a guest. It is intended to be substituted on a new user's talk page.

Usage

When the template is called without parameters, it will include a default message that you should sign. For example:

{{subst:Wikipedia:Teahouse/Invitation|sign=~~~~}}

produces

Hello! Teahouse, you are invited to the Teahouse, a forum on Wikipedia for new editors to ask questions about editing Wikipedia, and get support from peers and experienced editors. Please join us! EpochFail(talk • work) 19:55, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

You can also specify a custom message to appear inside the invitation. For example:

{{subst:Wikipedia:Teahouse/Invitation|message=this is my custom message inviting you to join the [[WP:Teahouse]].|sign=~~~~}}

produces

Hello! Teahouse, this is my custom message inviting you to join the WP:Teahouse. EpochFail(talk • work) 19:55, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
