Kanji characters that have been simplified

edit

Out of all the characters on the Joyo kanji list, how many have been simplified and how many have stayed the same? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.190.223.234 (talk) 09:37, 23 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Does List of jōyō kanji help? It has some kanji that have an "old" form and a "new" form. --Jayron32 15:19, 24 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The simplified kanji are called shinjitai (new), and the traditional are kyūjitai (old). Of the 2,136 Jōyō Kanji, I believe 1,772 remain unchanged, while 364 have been simplified (shinjitai). —Stephen (talk) 12:34, 26 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
