editWhy can't Uber drivers find me?
editI live in Kyiv (that's how I like to spell it), Ukraine and use Uber quite a lot. Sometimes, even though my Uber app indicates that it is sharing my pick up location with the driver, the driver has difficulty finding me. (This becomes tricky when they call me because I don't speak Russian or Ukrainian.) Normally I can see that my blue dot on the app map is accurate, and the app tells me it is showing my location to the driver, so why doesn't the driver find me easily? Is the driver not getting my information even though the app says it's sharing it?
[Extra point of interest. I have read that fewer than one in two hundred people are deaf. I estimate that five per cent of Kyiv Uber drivers are deaf.]
