editJapanese police procedural
editI'm looking for the name of a Japanese live action drama I saw an episode of, subtitled, on television in the United States in the early 2000s. It was a police procedural, a very low key almost "cozy mystery" style one. From what I remember of the plot of the episode, the main characters were police detectives investigating the suspected murder of an old woman living with her daughter. At first they suspected a man who had been caught scamming the elderly in the area with fake meter readings, then the daughter, before finally working out that the woman had died accidentally from a fall. I only ever saw that one episode, on a local station (I don't remember which one, it may have been WLIW or WNYE). I remembered it out of the blue tonight and would like to see more of it, any help tracking down the name would be appreciated. 72.89.45.198 (talk) 07:25, 22 July 2019 (UTC)
