editThis song, released by José Feliciano in 1970, is generally performed in a short version , which consists of two lines of Spanish and two of English. There are, however, two long versions. One of these, which you can hear at [1] or [2] has the English plus this verse in Spanish:
- Feliz navidad, prospero año e felicidade
- A todos quiero desearles siempre felicidad es un gran presente
- En el momento de que disfruten en el tiempo de amor y paz
- Vivan contentos vivan felices en el amor dulce sentimiento
- Contando voy para que me escuchen mucha paz vengan a cantar
The lyrics of the second long version are different and contain the following words (the transcription is only a guide as my Spanish is non-existent):
de corazon; mirada; entero; distancia adelante and towards the end cela.
