Was Meryl Streep's Oscar Acceptance Speech Bleeped?

edit

And if so, what did she say? I googled and only came up with a bleeping of her Golden Globe speech.Chief41074 (talk) 21:21, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

No, it was not Streep. Whatever source you originally had may have been confused with her Golden Golden speech. The person who was actually bleeped was T. J. Martin, co-director of Undefeated, who said that winning Best Documentary Feature was "[bleep]-ing awesome". Zzyzx11 (talk) 09:35, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Amusingly enough, Jean Dujardin's speech was not bleeped, even though he used the French version of the f-word. The Mark of the Beast (talk) 19:37, 28 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
For a guy who was winning an award for a performance in which he was silent, it would have been the supreme irony for him to have been bleeped at the awards ceremony. -- Jack of Oz [your turn] 02:44, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps, instead of bleeping, they should replace the image by a screen with a bar of soap on it, surrounded by a fancy frame. :-) StuRat (talk) 03:02, 29 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"B-b-b-b-bell" song

edit

I've heard several times in the radio a song but I don't know and can't find the name. I remember a little bit of the lyrics. Something like "So fast it's bell" or something of the sort. The song repeats several times "B-b-b-b-bell". 190.31.177.239 (talk) 15:01, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Which radio station? Which country? Male or female singer? Mingmingla (talk) 17:16, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe Bad to the Bone? It could sound a bit like "bell"... Staecker (talk) 18:26, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"You can ring my bellllllllll, ring my bell" Very old song (70's maybe?) Sometimes still played on the radio. I've been told it was a hippie sort of drug reference but I don't get it. This song is on the first version of Wii Dance.
