Hawaii Five-O

I have been wondering about a character on Hawaii Five-O; Max does autopsies. Is he the original guy who sang on YouTube and made it big with his version of a pop song? I cannot remember the song. What is his name and why is he not listed as a frequent character? Just wondering.
