OBAMANIA edit

HE SET THE TREND FOR OBAMA ..wHO IS HE? HELP ME WITH THIS QUESTION.. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.1.26.35 (talk) 06:40, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, your question is unclear. Are you asking for the name of Barack Obama's stylist? His publicity manager? Could you rephrase your question to make your meaning clearer? Thanks. Karenjc 11:40, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's some kind of riddle. We get these all the time. Most of them – like this one – are too vague to be answerable. --Richardrj talk email 13:37, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed. But since we're supposed to assume good faith toward questioners wherever possible, it's sometimes simplest to take them literally and request clarification. It may prevent others from attempting to answer the unanswerable or getting embroiled in a debate (although not always). Karenjc 17:58, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't follow you. This "question" could not be anything other than a riddle. --Richardrj talk email 18:57, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
This user has posted these sorts of vague riddles before. With similar odd phrasing. [1] [2] APL (talk) 03:10, 25 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Potential candidates are Martin L. King and, most likely, Jesse Jackson. The latter has been a candidate for the presidential nomination in 1984 and 1988. Mind you, I can´t see what it has to do with entertainment. --Cookatoo.ergo.ZooM (talk) 20:58, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
George W. Bush - by making the demand for change so strong. :-) DJ Clayworth (talk) 21:26, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BBC America edit

Who pays for BBC America? Is it from UK TV licencing fees, or do Americans have to pay, or does it have adverts?

I feel like I have already asked this question before on Wikipedia but can't find it anywhere to see the answers. If I have, then sorry.

Thanks. 92.5.107.9 (talk) 21:22, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

BBC America is available only through cable companies (or satellite), which means the cable or satellite subscribers pay the cable companies who pay the BBC. DJ Clayworth (talk) 21:25, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. 92.5.107.9 (talk) 21:55, 23 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it does have advert(isement)s. It's my most-watched channel. Cheers. --Nricardo (talk) 02:58, 24 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
