Source of a KMFDM sample edit
Starting at the 3rd minute, 12th second in KMFDM's song "Stray Bullet" is a sample of someone quoting Mikhail Bakunin's book God and the State, saying "Even if God really existed, it would be necessary to ABOLISH him." The sampled piece has the sound and character of an orator speaking to a large audience, and after the quote, the unseen audience cheers. I've always wondered - is that sample is from an actual speech or did KMFDM create it in the studio? Does anyone know? 152.16.59.190 (talk) 06:12, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know the answer I'm afraid, but I think you would have a much better chance of finding the answer if you posted the question to a KMFDM board such as this one (link is down at time of writing). It's more likely that someone there will have the specialised knowledge of the band's music to answer the question than here on Wikipedia. --Richardrj talk email 09:55, 22 November 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the link. I had actually tried that link before (it is linked from the KMFDM article), but couldn't access it. I tried again just now and it worked. Someone on that forum had already commented on the quote, saying "Apparently, that's actually Sascha reading a quote from some writery type guy." LOL - "some writery type guy." Filming location of Belle et Sebastien Tv series from the sixties. edit
I have tried a number of sites and asked questions from a number of search engines, mosty of which point back to facts on the Wikipedia site. However, the pages quotes the village as Saint-Martin near the border with italy. I am ski-ing in that area in january 2008 & would dearly love to visit the actual village but i cannot confirm its location within france. Does anyone know for certain the exact geographic location of the village used in the series?

- This could be tricky. St. Martin (disambiguation) lists nine Saint Martin's in France, and the only one we have an article on clearly isn't the one you're looking for. Googling for "ski Saint Martin" returns a lot of hits for St Martin de Belleville, France, which isn't listed on the disambiguation page. I'm not familiar with the TV series or the novel it is based on, so I can't be sure which Saint Martin it is supposed to be.
