editIdentifying connectors on motherboard fo Wyse V90L thin client
editIn this picture of the motherboard of a thin client, I've circled two black connectors. What connectors are these? According to this website they're "50-way DIL black plugs" but that doesn't mean anything to me. What can be attached to these? Can they be used to connect storage devices? Thanks! --178.170.142.159 (talk) 12:01, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
- They may be an entirely custom connection for a daughter-board. In which case, who knows what might be on those pins. You'd need a datasheet for the board.
- As for external storage, the website you link to has the answer. In the shadows of the upper left of that image, there's what looks like an IDE port. And, the board looks like it has circuitry for two SATA ports, but the sockets haven't been soldered on.
- Who knows if the software supoprts it though. ApLundell (talk) 19:05, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
- Those may very well be SCSI A connectors. Look at http://cs.ecs.baylor.edu/~maurer/CSI5338/SCSI%20Handout.pdf and then check your connector with an Ohmmeter. If all the pins marked GROUND connect to each other, it's a 50-pin SCSI. --Guy Macon (talk) 20:14, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
