List of international goals scored by Phil Younghusband edit

I've listed this article for peer review because I believe it has the potential to be a WP:FL à la List of international goals scored by Sunil Chhetri or List of international goals scored by Miroslav Klose. One of my main concerns is the lead because I do not consider myself a strong writer.

  • Why are the Apps & Goals not sortable?
  • "As of 16 January 2019" – but isn't he retired?
  • would recommend adding the abbreviation template: {{abbr|incl.|including}} to the "incl." of "incl. minor invitational tournaments"
  • The dagger in the key is a little misleading, since the background color makes one think that both a dark grey background and a dagger "indicates goal was scored from a penalty kick" – if you see what I mean? I would either make the background the lighter grey or do both a dagger and specific color to make these instances.
  • I'd link Cap (sport) to "capped"
  • "in a game dubbed "The Miracle of Hanoi"" – perhaps?
  • Is the gamer link the correct one?
  • Would be nice to link Exhibition game somewhere in the lead, perhaps in "16 were scored in friendlies..."; would link hat‑trick as well
  • Bait30 You have a solid list here. After addressing the above, I encourage you to take it to FLC. FLC moves slower than FAC and it may take some time for reviewers to get to your list, so you may want to put it in now to "start the wait early" – if that makes sense. We also have some good prose editors there that can help polish up anything in the lead that you said concerns you, although it seems pretty sound how it is. •   Done: Thanks so much for the review! I performed all of your suggested improvements. I'm guessing the gamer link was a bit unclear, so I changed it to video gamer to make it more specific.  Bait30  Talk 2 me pls? 05:48, 14 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
