I've developed this article considerably over the last year and think it's now ready for peer review. Hammerwood Park was the first work of the architect (Benjamin Henry Latrobe) who would later design the White House and the Capitol Building. It was later owned by Led Zeppelin and was subsequently rescued from dereliction to become one of the largest private restoration projects in Europe. Your views welcome. Many thanks.
