1983 Atlantic hurricane season edit

I've listed this article for peer review because I'm trying to get it to FAC and did a major amount of work on it. Any comments would be useful.

I don't like the odd placement for the rainfall map of Dean. with two tropical depressions forming on July 29 (in the lede) - this is odd. Did two two tropical depressions really form exactly on July 29? The second lede paragraph seems really long, given there's also a season summary section later on, and there are only two storms. I'd like better confirmation on the depressions, if possible. Have you emailed the NHC? Also, the sections seem a little long for Alicia and Barry, given they both have articles. The first sentence should probably appear in the season summary section with some more detail; perhaps mention how little activity occurred in the previous least active season. I seem to recall that the 1983 and 1984 seasons were among the least two-year periods on record (based on tropical storms and hurricanes); that should be researched, and if proven correct should be in the summary as well. Double check for typos, Wikilinking, and non-breaking spaces. --Hurricanehink (talk) 00:11, 22 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
