Why Participate? edit

Become a wikipedia editor, get read by thousands of people, and contribute to Black History online. Faculty, students, administrators, and campus staff are invited to participate in Diablo Valley College's second "Black History Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon". Last year, we focused on Black Histories of the Bay Area. We had 12 people participate, 65 total edits, and 1200 words added to 11 articles. Those articles received 70,100 views! This is an incredible way to document histories that have been previously erased or lost, to learn about research, and to learn about open-sourced or crowd-sourced histories.

This year, we are focusing on Black artists and arts.
