Stanley Holloway was a much-loved figure of British comedy. Famed for his comic and character roles on stage and screen, he is probably best known for his many roles in the Ealing Comedies, and for originating the role of Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady.   • Image caption says the picture was taken in 1974 while the original description says it was taken in 1972.
  • Broadway theatre linked twice in the lead
  • Since the actual dates of a few stage shows are unknown could you possibly rename the column.

  • Ideally it should be complete, but if we have exhausted all available sources then there is nothing more we can do: when other sources become available, we'll be able to update accordingly.   • em dashes should be used for indicating time period instead of spaced en dashes.

Support. Cassianto is without question, and however he modestly disclaims the title, Wikipedia's resident expert on Stanley Holloway, and SchroCat's expertise in the sprightliest side of English stage and screen is unassailable. I don't usually comment on candidates for Featured List status, and have had to go and read up on all the criteria. This page seems to me to meet them in all respects.
